Vista Entertainment Center

What can be said for a bowling alley and bar in Vista?  The question rhetorical, the experience real.  Bowling happens to be something I enjoy, and yes bowling alleys host leagues that play on particular nights and have varying crowds.  I would recommend calling ahead to make sure lanes will be available.  I would also recommend the Chargers platter whose greasy delights will leave your stomach feeling similar to watching their beloved namesake give up a 24 point halftime lead...

The lanes are nice, the food expected, the bar (recently remodeled) is surprising.  I have enjoyed a libation or two here and think it is the gem of the VEC.  

I will agree the bar and it's pool table attract an interesting crowd, so if it's not to your liking I would suggest ordering and drinking by your lane.

It's nice to find a bowling alley nowadays so I'll give the VEC an extra star for that!

The male bartender was excellent with serving us. Food was pretty good!! And the bowling alley was just great. A lot of kids, but who cares? We are there to bowl and have a great time! Tuesday was so fun ! Great deal! Will be back :)

Not quite sure how I feel about writing this review, as I wasn't sure how I felt after leaving the facility. We went with the intention of bowling, but since it was a league night, we didn't get to. So, naturally, we hit the bar. The bartender was very friendly, but the crowd didn't look as much. To be honest, I was wondering if we were going to be involved in a bar fight...lets just say the people in the bar area seemed a little *rough, to be PC. We did end up playing pool against another friend/couple and they were really nice. But I'm not sure that we'll be back any time soon. The drinks weren't particularly strong (as you'd expect from a dive bar) and to be honest I didn't feel exactly safe there.
But bowling looked fun and fine!
Oh, an afterthought - they don't have darts. And there's a church in the same building.
