I found out where the old folks hang out. They
come here and get a two dollar beer--which is not Pabst--they are not hipsters and chow down with friends on Nachos, everything fried, and the largest prime rib over a soggy piece of bread. Not a vegetable in sight. I guess that's the whole point really. I think it's the country version of an SF Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog. yeah, it might look questionable, yeah that cheese sauce is MSG certified authentic, but it's so bad, it's good. Or maybe it's just plain hunger for nutrients and jet lag. Oh, but a honkin' slab o' meat in front of you every now and then reminds me that I'm in a different place, where this is considered by most here as a good restaurant.
I craved a big bowl of steamed spinach, but what the hell!

I went for that fatty prime rib and enjoyed my almost Midwest roots(Western New York is near Ohio)

The procedure here is to grab a table, order as many drinks as possible to occupy the table, and then go to the kitchen and order from a menu that changes daily. I was here on a Wednesday night, so it was slab o meat day made by a guy in the back, that looked like a deadhead. Thursday is Pasta Night, but not sure if it would be worth it, when one asks for cheddar cheese on her nachos and gets Velveeta.

Well, obviously, I didn't come here for the food, but to hang out with my grandparents. People come here for the fast, friendly service, cheap prices, and strong drinks.

This place is situated on the eastside of Lake Chautauqua, which means "Bag Lake," in the Local Seneca tongue. The building looks like an old castle, which it was. It belonged to one man before, but they have changed it into this club we see here today, which honors in membership those who are Veterans.

It's a down homey place with a large bar and raffle giveaways for a Wall Mart flat screen tv.  It's a place where until 9:30 the family can congregate and across generations, you can toast "Skol!" to your Viking Bred Grandfather until you are toasted from good beers that for a city mouse like me, two dollar beers are a dream come true.

Membership for said two dollar beers are required.

    getting buzzed with Grandma........................

    priceless.
