Pleasantly surprised with this pizza place that we usually pass unnoticed several times driving into Lindenhurst. Ordered from here because we think our current go-to pizza place (Jimano's) is going downhill in quality. Â I am glad we tried Wayne's. Â The place is small and clean, decorated in retro 50s diner motif, from what I saw. Â It is the end unit of a small strip mall so it has many big windows on the outside wall that really open up the space. Â Anyway, the 18-inch sausage pizza we ordered ($18.99) was delish. Â It had a generous amount of sausage on it and was oozing with tasty cheese and flavorful red sauce. Â The thin crust was on the well done side but I like a crispy crust. Â Also, I liked the hint of smoke flavor in the crust because it added another layer of flavor to the overall taste. Â Overall, this is a good pizza at a fair price. Â We will be back.
Review Source:This is the place to eat if you're looking for a pizza place in Lake County, conveniently located 10 mins or so from Gurnee Mills. Â The pizza is by far one of the best slices I've ever had the pleasure of having other than at their original location in Grayslake. Any interaction with the staff is always incredibly pleasant. It's a locally owned business so of course the friendly service is present. The atmosphere inside is quite nostalgic which I'm totally all for.
