West Park Village Tavern

My husband and I ended up here following a tip from one of our local bartenders, when we told him we were looking for bar bowling machines. We were not disappointed on our visit here to bowl a few frames and have a couple of adult beverages. It's vintage West Park: friendly bartenders and patrons, good beer selection, sports on tv, and wood paneling aplenty. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood.

The drink specials they have here are insane.  Its in the Westpark bar area although much farther down then the main hub of bars.  Never eaten here so cant comment there.  Good place to start the evening for cheap drinks.

I met up with my close work friend for his birthday here tonight. He's a regular. It was my first time. Very blue collar joint with fun loving clientele. No poseurs or tough guys, but trust me, everyone there can fight. Except me. Lots of sports stuff on the walls including an hilarious S.I. cover with Don "Murdering" King, Ali and Frasier from way back in the day.

I had two Bud Lights, bought my dude one, and my old lady had a pop. Total was under ten. The owner is close to my friend and said if he vouched for us, then we were all cool with him. He ordered a round of blue shots for everyone on the house. They called it the "papa smurf". Tasted like kool aid and got my crawl off to a good start.

The bar is down the street from all the newer action of Kamm's, but only about two short blocks. It's right by my fave library branch. Maybe the librarians get hammered here after a whole day of people pestering them about missing Eddie Murphy dvd's.
