Whiskey River Saloon

Whiskey River Saloon opened in September 2010 in the space on Pearl Street that used to be Ringside/Legends.  The place is attached to Coconut Joe's and shares, I think, the same owners, kitchen, staff etc.

Whiskey River has a bunch of theme nights; for example on Thursdays I think they have bull riding, though I haven't attended this one.  They also supposedly have live music and DJs on weekends.

My fave thing about this place is the regular comedy night they have been running on Wednesdays.  It is the only comedy venue in downtown La Crosse, and they have been bringing in some very funny acts.  (Unfortunately, their Wednesday comedy night currently seems to be on hiatus, though one of their staff told me it may come back in February 2011.)

Whiskey River's website is extremely fancy and intricate.  Unfortunately, it is so fancy and intricate that the owners apparently don't know how to update it:  It is useless for finding out what is going on at the place on a given night. Fail.
