At first glance this place looks like the diviest of all dive bars and potentially the place your parents warned you to avoid. Â In reality it is one of the best bars I have ever been in. Â The beer and liquor selection is excellent and the bartenders have a pretty good knowledge of how to mix drinks. Â The inside is covered with some bizarre artwork but it is real art and not something that the bar owner bought on discount from Home Goods. Â I used to really love the jukebox but it feels dated now. Â Plus, the inside is very, very dark. Â But hey, it keeps out the riff-raff.

Luckily this bar caters to locals and out-of-towners and not to the local college crowd. This is a good thing for me. Plus, I'm not sure many students would appreciate the "style" of the place.
In daylight, the inside was still dark (see pictures that did not come out too well). The place is visually interesting as the owner was in film school. There is sculptors from a local artist, videos play, strange videos, great music on the juke box.
Lots of hard liquor.
Beer on tap include: Pearl Street Brews, franziskaner, Smiths, Blue Moon, Guiness, Wisconsin Amber, and Alpha King
Wish I lived closer, this would be my local.
