I stopped at this particular White Castle late one night after seeing a show on the south side. Â I was extremely hungry and had a hunch that I would be again in the morning. Â Turns out I was right, and when I got up hungover the next morning, I said "Self, you done good by getting the Crave Case!"
For those who aren't familar with White Castle, a Crave Case is a cardboard box about the size of a brief case that holds 30 hamburgers, aka "Slyders". Â Now, you wouldn't think that anything from any fast food establishment would be edible when reheated the next day. Â White Castle is an exception to this rule (aside: Â so are Arby's roast beef sanniches). Â 20-30 seconds in the microwave and I'd say the lil' Castles are generally 98% as fresh as when they're hot off the steamer.
I think I drank six or seven beers and ate about 10 burgers late that night. Â When I woke up, I made some sunny side eggs so I could dip yet more of the little heated burgers in the stabbed running yolks (known as "egg murder"), cracked another beer and was good and ready for football Sunday. Â I will be doing this again on Sunday mornings come September!
