This is a good neighborhood bar.The prices are not bad, bartenders are friendly, and there's a great jukebox. You'd be surprised how many songs you can play for 5 bucks. They do not just have the hits, they have obscure songs as well. It's fun to play some real metal and watch the looks on people's faces. Great location as well. it's right next to the movie theater and restaurants.
Review Source:I've been here twice. Â Once during the day and once at night on the weekend
during the day it seemed alot of people came from after work to chill out and have a drink before going home.
on the weekend it was a bit crowded with the older people. Â Which isnt a problem. Â It was fun watching all the older cats get down on some karaoke and relax.
Oh the White Hawk, we've had a few good times together. I'm never without something to look at, between the checkered floor & horrible decor (that will make it hard to not get hammered) the people are so worth dealing with. I've never been so entertained just sitting back and seeing what pops in.... I actually saw a Hooker {wearing almost the same outfit as Julia Roberts} with a beeper attached to her skin tight cut up dress..... Can you say AWESOME????
Pro's: People watching, pretty drama free...
Cons: smells like smoke,it's now Way too close to a Walmart....
This is a serviceable dive bar. The kind of place that has a Russian roulette approach when it comes to the patrons (college crowd, career alcoholic, trailer trash, etc), but that is what makes a dive bar a dive bar after all.
They don't accept credit cards or ATM at the bar, so either come with cash or be prepared to be gouged by the service charges at ATM machine located within. The drinks are usually stiff, but they seem to be a bit higher than they were before (Avg $4-5 a drink).
Pro-Tip: They have Karaoke on Friday nights. If you crave hearing Journey sung drunkenly off-key, this place is worth a visit.
