We were staying in the area with our preschooler and wanted a quick, kid-friendly dinner that was not fast food junk. Having eaten at our hotel once already, we were looking for something inexpensive. The Willow Street Restaurant is really a diner, with the complete diner menu that includes photos with disclaimers (food pictured may differ from food served!)

My family enjoys diners from time to time. We even have our standard food order for diners: roasted turkey, meatloaf, and chicken tenders. The adult meals included a visit to the soup and salad bar. The salad bar was basic, but good, with fresh veggies and the Lancaster standard of apple butter! There were two soups, one which was described as "lobster bisque." I doubt there was any real shellfish in that pot, as all I saw was chunks of imitation crab.

Our dinners were good, the mashed potatoes great, the waitress was incredibly friendly. My picky preschooler liked his chicken tenders and fries. I bet this place does a great breakfast!

We skipped dessert, although we did spy a case of pies that looked tasty.

Our meal for three was cheaper than our lunch! While I wouldn't necessarily seek this place out again, if in the area, we would return, maybe for breakfast next time!

It was good. I randomly picked this restaurant. For some reason my GPS lead me through the backway through dirt roads and through fields. Anyways, we opted out of the buffet option (usually one plate is good enough for me.
I know the country atmosphere will have you craving fried chicken. Forget about it.....go for the balls. The ham balls!
I had "ham balls". Yummo! (Rachael Ray voice). I was worried about what I was going to get with ham balls but the waitress assured me that they were not pig testes. You can get them with cider or pineapple sauce. I went with the waitress suggestion, pineapple. Anyways, if I came back I would definitely get them again. I had the mtn berry tart   it was good too. It wasn't sickening sweet like I thought it would be. It was also bigger than it was in the picture.
