While the grilled romaine is supposedly the claim to fame, it was OK. Â Missing some garlic in my opinion. Â However, everything else we had was superb. My daughter ordered the mussels, my husband the pork belly and my son (4) the lettuce wraps. We all cleaned each other's plates. Â My daughter's filet was perfectly done, my husband's short ribs were succulent and served with some delicious mac and cheese. Â I had the pasta with crawfish and it was topped with the most delicious deep-fried okra nuggets. Â
The building itself was beautiful inside and out with tons of charm and character. Â The service was fabulous and while it could have very easily been just a "date" restaurant, they accommodated us with our two younger kids without missing a beat. Â This place will definitely be a "do again" during our annual trip to Lancaster.
I must have missed something. Â This place is ok, not great. Â This was our 2nd stop of the night. Â The first stop of the night was Pour and it was so good that the Belvedere probably didn't have a chance.
We started with the short rib dumplings. Â They weren't bad, the sweet spice in the meat is different. Â I'm guessing they had some cinnamon, brown sugar, or a combo of both. Â They were served in wonton-like wrapper. Â Nothing special.
We also had the Duck spring rolls. Â Not good. Â The sparse amount of duck was bland and flavorless.
My wife had a Grilled Petite Caeser. Â It was good. Â I had the Large Petite Caesar with Shrimp. Â I admit it was good but it was also 21 bucks. Â Wow, that is ridiculous.
One note, our server was Scottie and he was solid.
