I have come here several times to share wine amongst friends, or at least attempted to.

The main problem I have encountered here is that we can never get a seat if we come in around 8:30-9pm, after our dinner. This place has a pretty tight feeling when full.

I have had food from the bar menu, and nothing to rave about or remember really. The wine selection is good. The decor and lighting is intimate and cozy. The piano is a nice added touch.

Overall, this place is cute and worth a visit. A nice addition to the town of Atlantic Highlands.

Be prepared for an amazing dining experience. Food, service and atmosphere are an A+. My husband had the Haddock and said it was the best fish he had ever eaten. We ordered from the regular and tapas menu. Drinks were superb. It's a great place for a date night. We were all impressed.

Limited menu and small portions. Terrible service. Went for our wedding anniversary and left disappointed. Food was delicious but servings were small. Most disappointing was the poor service. I will not go back and do not recommend .

Decor is modern, upscale cozy vibe with great bar and lounge area. Wait staff is attentive. Appetizers were outstanding, although main courses unfortunately didnt live up to our expectation, especially after such wonderful starters. We've dined here twice in the past 9 monthes. First visit, food was very good and although we were disappointed in our entrees this time , we'd be willing to visit again in the near future and definitely recommend giving it a try.

Sirloin and filet mignon ordered medium, one came out medium and the other well. The owner came to our table after our check was delivered ( not when the well done steak was sent back) and explained how the filet and sirloin were cooked to different levels since they are different cuts. This is nonsense. Medium is medium, no matter what cut of meat is served. The owner should be embarrassed by the way she attempted to apologize by telling me that I was wrong in thinking my steak was overdone. First and last time at the restaurant.

We've been here about five times now and each time we go we find that it is consistently great! Whether we are dinning alone or with other people we find that the service is excellent, the presentation of the food is amazing and the food is delicious! The dinning room is separated from the bar where you can have tapas along with your drinks and listen to the pianist that plays on the weekends. We usually start out in the bar lounge and then go for dinner in the dinning room. Their wine selection is amazing! The fish dishes are fresh and so flavorful every time, the crab cake is the best in Monmouth County! The steaks so tender and cooked to perfection! Actually, haven't tried the dessert as we are always so full from the amazing apps and dinner that everyone has to pass on the dessert but am looking forward to trying them as they look delicious when they go by our table. Make this place a must!

So loud we could not hear each other - waited 2 hours for apps to come - brought wrong salad; entrees were nothing to talk about - burned scallops - of all the foodies in town this is not one of them.

Stumbled upon the Wine Bar when staying in Atlantic Highlands one weekend. Restaurant is upper level from the Harborside Grille, only open after 6pm on Thursdays thru Saturdays.
Ambiance is spectacular, nice bar area with open lounge seating...zebra couches and comfy chairs or you can sit right at the bar. Have a different weekly flight of 3 wines to try.

But let's move on to dinner...it was absolutely spectacular. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. We started with some cocktails which were fantastic, I had the key lime pie martini and it was wow. Ordered the grilled calamari appetizer. It was cooked to perfection with grape tomatoes and string beans that were lighlty coated with red wine vinegar and olive oil. Let me tell you, I ate every bit off that plate.
For my main entree, I settled on the sauteed jumbo gulf shrimp...six of the big ones served over whole wheat penne and plum tomatoes in a white wine sauce. Wow again, this was just fantastic. The white wine sauce on the penne was delicious, I could have licked the bowl. And practically did. My man went with one of their fish specials, artichoke encrusted halibut that he also said was excellent, and judging by him finishing his meal before me, I'm sure it was good.

Wines...didnt know what to expect, but the wines by the bottle were extremely affordable. We had a bottle of pinot grigio for $25 and I couldnt complain about that. For the most part on their wine list, the wines were under $50.

    Definitely will be back again!
