We highly recommend the Wine Closet. Â Linda carries a great selection of boutique wines. Â Given the variety, you get to try different varieties all in one place. Pleasant tasting room atmosphere as long as it isnt too busy. Â Fairly small place and hard to hear if packed. We have tried some wonderful varieties and then gone to the specific winery when up in Paso or elsewhere.
Pretty much have liked all the recommendations Linda has given. Â They also carry Herman Story wines!
Checked out the Wine Closet on Friday evening around 7:30pm. There were only two other people in the place. We sat at the bar and paid $10 each to taste 4 wines. The woman working behind the counter was very friendly, and the shop was quaint. They also had a wide variety of beers for non wine drinkers! They told us Thursday night is the really good night to come! I will have to go back on a Thursday.
Review Source:Great place! Â A bunch of us girls met there last Friday night for wine and gossip. Â Always a fun combo! Â They had about 8 bottles of wine open for tasting. Â For $10 I could choose to try 5 wines. Â They had nice large glasses too and generous pours. Â I did see a couple of guys with beer but didn't see it on the tasting menu.
They do have a large selection of wines for purchase that I've never seen anywhere else. Â Very artistic labels. Â One had a photo of knuckles with the wine name written across them. Â They also have wine accessories and candles in their boutique area.
They have a couch area and 4 tall tables - all were very full that evening.  I'd recommend getting there early.  They also have wineries come in on Thursday evenings to pour their own wines for guests.  I'm hoping to make it back on a Thursday to check this out.  I'm sure they'll have a bit of gossip there for me too if my girls can't make it  ;)
Linda truly brings the personal touch to wine enjoyment, service and customer satisfaction. Great selection of all the wines you won't find everywhere else. The Wine Closet is superb for the hand picked, personally tasted, great wines that that you will never find a the bulk retailers, and never be disappointed. Don't confuse great with expensive, she has the whole range, and the knowledge to meet your needs. Value to extravagant, Linda's got it, she'll get it or it can't be had. Bravo! Â Absolutely worth the trip, and the tastings are great.

Â Had a lovely time, and the wine was good, and Linda puts out a nice spread of munchies to taste along with the wine. Â I will be back. Â Another great feature is that they are right next to a city parking lot, and there was even room for my car. Â Love that!
