A group of us came here last Saturday. The waiters are always nice and some of them give decent beer recommendations. They have live music and last weekend there was an awesome duo! I can't recall their name but I hope they perform again. This place serves no food but you can order from nearby vendors. The place is equally indoor/outdoor. We have always found a table, it has never been overly crowded. Good place to come here after catching a move at Alamo Drafthouse across the street.

I'm sorry, but I just can't give WoB a five star for one simple reason, they have Lone Star beer on the list. Lone Star is Texas' piss water and for any self-respecting beer establishment, it shouldn't be on the list. IMO

Besides the Long Star issue, I really enjoyed WoB, there are plenty of TVs, comfy chairs, my friend and I enjoyed few hours trying different type of Scotch Ale beers from Colorado and Texas.

Looking forward for another visit in the near future.

I love trying different beers, so if that is the case for you as well, then I would strongly recommend World of Beer. They have tons of options to choose from, constantly changing their selections, and most of the staff is pretty knowledgeable. The only reason they don't get five stars is because I have had one or two occassions where the service was really bad, but I have also had fantastic service here so it could differ based on the server or amount of guests. Either way, I think it's definitely worth giving a try!

Large beer selection and my first choice they were out of stock. Really makes me wonder which beers on the list they truly stock. Mediocre service. I'm surprised this place has this many stars.

Horrible beer temperature and I know my beers. I was drinking a lager not a barley wine!! It's pointless when you request a beer with no lime, no salt or the opposite and they won't listen. Then when you politely say you did/didn't ask for something, they don't appreciate you letting them know about their error.

I've always wanted to try this place and I had high expectations as I enjoy a great beer and I visit The Flying Saucer often. I will stick to The Flying Saucer as they do a better job at the beer and at least they have really good food, unlike World of Beer.

Who cares about the live music. It's called World of Beer for a reason, not World of Music.

Great choice of beers, great location, and the servers are usually really nice. If you want to go to a bar and drink cheap beer like Bud Light, this isn't the place to go to. But if you enjoy smaller crafts and enjoy trying new beers, I'd really recommend it. Parking can be annoying on busy days, though. Overall, it's my favorite place to have a drink. Prices aren't bad at all, either.

Staff has always been friendly and welcoming, my glass is always full and I enjoy the atmosphere. 2x4 Jenga makes for a fun drinking game, live music on the weekends, and a nice patio. They recently changed the no cigar smoking policy which is great, allow it all or allow none right? I think I know most of the late afternoon early evening crew from several happy hour visits. The one and only knock on the place is that there is no food, you can get it delivered from BJ's/Alamo Drafthouse or a few other places but I've only done it twice when I was hammered and NEEDED it. Ladies they offer light beers and fruity ciders which my wife tends to order regularly.

The ONLY reason they get a 4 out of 5 and not 5 stars is that they don't have their own kitchen. Obviously, they are all about the beer and that's great! They have a selection of menus from surrounding restaurants and on busy nights (we went on a Friday) they have a server from BJ's hanging out and taking orders. They have to call everything else in and it may take more time to get to you. But, the beer selection, ambiance and super friendly service make that a small inconvenience. The staff's knowledge of the beer is impressive and they also sell beer as a retailer so there is a percentage off with a military ID (score!). We would go here again and again!

Where in the world would you like your beer to be from?  What kind of beer do you like?  Whatever you want (as long as it is not Bud or Miller ugh) they will probably have.  If you are not a beer person or are allergic to hops then they have a great selection of ciders and wines.  If you get hungry they do not have food, but there are quite a few local places that will deliver food to you at World Of Beer.  The ambience is relaxed and cozy.  The staff is very passionate about beer and super friendly.  We will be here... a lot.

While I've been on a cocktail kick for a few months, I still love me some beer.  Naturally, World of Beer has been on my go-to list since opening.  Stopped by at 10 on a Friday and I was instantly a fan.  WoB has about the same amount of beers on tap as the Saucer but has more of an open seating set-up where you don't have to circle the place twice to find a seat. They also had something else the Saucer seriously lacks, live music!  I don't know about anyone else but beer tastes better with an AC/DC cover in the background.

Why the 3 stars, you ask?  Like I mentioned, I love beer and I love having beer and when some server comes between me and having a beer in my hand, sh*ts weak.  While my friends had their libations restored, I was left with an empty glass for about a half hour (which is three hours in beer time).  That along with a few choices being unavailable were the downers of the visit.  I'll probably be back (because beer) and order some K&F goodies while enjoying my precious Witterkerke.

World of Beer is pretty much analogous to the Cheese Cake Factory in terms of their HUGE selection of beers. There is so much to choose from that it is kind of overwhelming, but in an awesome way. I like this place, but it's a little far from my area of town to frequent. Major plus, on top of the great selection of beers, is the convenience of being able to order eats from a number of surrounding restaurants. This alone makes WOB a great place to come with a group of people. Everyone can be happy with a great beer and a diverse selection of food to choose from.

You love beer? Then you  will appreciate WOBs beer school. In our case this was for research and business purposes! Ernesto Martinez is the assistant brewer at Faust in New Braunfels and happens to be the host of  beer school & bartender at WOB (how convenient). He is definitely passionate about his craft and brew in general. WOB offers beer school at different times and class is every Monday for 4 weeks and features a different topic (IPAs, porters/stouts, German, Belgians). Aside from beer school WOB is a cool hangout for beer lovers, not uptight or stuffy at all. They don't serve food but you can bring food in from neighboring restaurants and some will even deliver. Good times, cool people & lots of great beer!

Awesome beer selection. Good staff. Was there on a Friday night and saw a great band. Overall a great atmosphere and fun place to hang out! I've been there about 4 times now and not a single complaint yet! Waitress will give you a beer sample if you're not sure you will like it. You can also order food from local restaurants to be delivered right to your table. Cool concept and just a fun place to hang out!

Have been a few times.  Went today and was told I cannot have a fine hand rolled cigar on patio anymore.  Says cigarette smoking ok.  Patio was empty. Come on. It's outside and cigarettes stink worse and have more toxins in the crap tobacco filler makers put in them.  I'm not coming in and will tell my friends to meet me up the street.

Great beer selection with a nice relaxed feeling. I'll probably not go back as it's way north of where I usually hang out.

I was there with my girls for a derby fundraiser, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.  If you are up in the area though and want to try some good beer, this would be the place to go. They have a great selection and I was told that Thursdays is ladies night, with a selection of beers at $3 a pint.

Yeowza! Such a magnificent selection of beers!
I was stunned when I saw the care that they take in their selections, and knowledge of beers!
They offer about 500 beers in bottles and cans, about 40 (?) more on tap. They keep a revolving selection of temporary beers available, which are mostly seasonal beers.
I loved how they had their menu, it's sorted by style of beer, not country of origin, or price. The bartender had been trained on beer, and made intelligent recommendations. They even offered samples to try out.
They offer a nice patio to sit at, so if you smoke, there is solace. However, they don't allow cigar smoking.
They offer a wide variety of games to play with too, like Sock-em' Bop-'em Robots and Cranium! Love it!
They offer an ongoing series of classes on beer to learn all about them. It's a weekly deal, and costs $10 per night, but they have 4 classes that you take, and get to drink your way through them. I'm a big fan of the educational aspect of what they're doing!
It's cool that you can order food from the other establishments in the shopping center, and have them delivered to you! Great idea!
They offer discounts to different groups of people, such as Service Industry Night Mondays, or college student Wednesdays!
There's ongoing trivia challenges, so they're sure to keep you entertained.
I like the fact that they had everything from the finest beers, such as Lone Star, all the way to the most obscure beers, such as Samuel Smith's fruit beers.
The prices were a bit high, beers seem to start at about $5, and go up from there. Way up.

Like other chain beer bars, this place is straight-up loaded with TONS of beer. The menu was extensive and huge, and I had my pick of just about anything I wanted or could ever dream of. However, the one that I picked (Tripel Karmeliet) was out of stock. Though I hope it was a fluke, it makes me wonder how many of those beers are actually available.

One of the cool things about World of Beer is the different way they do their food. Without a kitchen of their own, they have allowed the surrounding businesses to place their menus at the tables. We placed an order with a waitress from BJ's (among the many from each of their own restaurants) who was wandering around. She took our pizza order and brought it to our table when it was ready. It was nice to have that bit of variety from standard bar fare.

We sat outside on the spacious patio. While we were there on a Friday evening, a cover band arrived and played an entertaining set inside. There were plenty of tvs around the tops of the walls, so it would probably be a good place to watch a game.

Parking could potentially get rough at times, since it's across the parking lot from Alamo Drafthouse, so they share a parking area. You might be in for quite a stroll if you get there at peak movie time.

Love this place.  The staff is very knowledgeable and set a wonderful environment to just sit and relax with some friends and drink some good brews.  I went to the grand opening and was very surprised at how well everything flowed and how much the staff knew on just their first opening day.  I will be returning often.

Great and knowledgable staff on a great subject--beer! Downloaded the app, joined the club, and got the t-shirt. My buddy Ryan was the first to hit 50 beers and in San Antonio...they treated him like a celeb!

First of all, I love it when a new establishment that specializes in beer opens on my birthday, so thank you World Of Beer. You're awesome!!

I went on opening day. It gets one less star from 5 because it was so busy it's hard to get an accurate review. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it. The staff is knowledgeable about the different brews.  Let me tell you there is a very large selection. For those of you who aren't beer savvy they have the coolers split up into countries/regions. It helps.

The beer menu can be overwhelming to a newbie. Find something familiar and then expand from there. All beers are listed in types and styles. I love the outside seating and patio feel both inside and out. It does get loud with the live band. Could be the placement of the stage. Maybe the band could face the speakers towards the wall and bounce the sound, just a thought.

They have a club, I haven't checked it out yet....mainly due to the lack of having a smart phone. If you looking for something different or too far from the Flying Saucer then check out WOB. It's a most definite stop on the list.

Oh why do you have to be so far!?! But no worries, friends live nearby I can always crash in Stone Oak after tasting as many beer as I can, including my favorites. Very nice to see a selection of local San Diego brews and Alaskan Beer...Awe makes me feel like home =P This is a cool place to hang out with friend and listen to live music for sure, they keep you updated on the website site, so if you don't know what to do you know where to go check!

Was pleasantly surprised by this new craft beer locale! From the moment I walked up, I smiled.  Immediately you see that there is an outdoor patio area that is easily accessibly from the main bar area. Open, airy feeling makes for a great destination when we actually get beautiful weather in SA.

Very extensive list of beers available and the draft selection is great as well and provides alot of options/versatility.

Also has a "beer club" option that offers "better" perks than the other bars in town offering the same type of club.

And I haven't even mentioned my favorite part! While the bar does not serve beer, they have a catered menu. Select restaurants from the shopping center will actually deliver food to your exact seat in the bar. How can you not love that???

World of Beer, hmmm what can I say about this place.  Just walk in a take a glance at the surrounding coolers, then look at the beers they have on tap.  This will be a great hang out for beer lovers, especially in the Stone Oak area as the area is lacking a good hang out bar.  This place is kind of loud though, there was a live band when we went (which was not very good) but the radio was still playing rather loudly.

I do give them props for having over 500 didn't beer selections.  And you can join their club and taste all of them if you so desire.  They also have Service Industry cards for discounts.

I know I will be back here in the near future.
