I just moved to Oxnard from San Jose Ca and I have always had the option of going to Yardhouse back in San Jose. Â I was so excited when I heard that one was opening up in Oxnard! Â I went and had a great experience! My server was AMAZING! His name was Anthony. Â I highly recommend him as your server. Â Super nice, knowledgeable of the menu, and made sure our food came out right! I can truly say that the wait for Yardhouse is worth it 100% Â Also everyone must try the brownie S'more dessert! Anthony recommended it and now I get it every time I go!
Review Source:This place is great! I love the "half yard" glasses they have... It makes it funny to attempt to drink out of them with finesse. They have tons of beer options, and they'll even give you two free "tasters" so you can try before committing to a whole glass. The only thing I would say against it is that it seems like the staff don't know their beer as well as they should. The waitress wasn't a beer drinker and couldn't make a good recommendation. A small drawback, which was redeemed when they give tasters. Definitely recommend!
Review Source:Listen. Yardhouse is what dreams are made of. Do yourself a favor and go see Mike, the best bartender known this side of the Mississippi. My husband and I frequented the Honolulu location and were devestated that out new city didn't have one within stumbling distance. Low and behold, the Oxnard Yardhouse is, by far, the best Yardhouse we have been to. It has been open for 8 days and we have been there 4 times... It's that good.
Review Source:The good: I went here for the selection of beer on tap. they had some great beers and huge selection of craftbrew. Along with some good music and scenery. The bad: table area smelled of throwup. the service was slow from waitress. She got our food order wrong. The "person in charge" came to our table to (from what i can tell) apologize for the mistake on our order. I had told him the crab cakes weren't that great and he told me "well seems to me different" because I finished my plate. If im gonna spend over 200$ at my table you would think i should enjoy it correct? And finish my food if its edible. If you want a great selection of beer at not very reasonable price to go yard house stay away from the food and stay at the bar.. If you want great beer selection and food goto barrel house 101.
Review Source:We have been waiting  for the Yard House to open!  We have eaten at the Palm Springs location.
We went there opening night!!! Â This past Friday. Â It was very crowded...but controlled. Â We tried to get there before happy hour ended but could not. :( Â Next time. Â We walked around the big bar and found a small place where we could squeeze our selves in. :)))) Â The bartender was very nice. Â Got our drinks out quickly! Â We were waiting for a table. Â There were two guys next to us that offered us their chairs, which I thought was super cool. Â They even pulled out the chair for my mom...such gentlemen!!! Â We ordered a few more rounds of drinks...then the pager let us know our table was ready.
It was just the 3 of us and we were seated in a very large, spacious booth.  Our server was very nice.  We kept thinking that he would get lost and not find us again! Since the restaurant kept getting more crowded. He found us, brought out our appetizer- boneless buffalo wings!  They were hot and very good.  For dinner we had burgers and salads and one of us got the turkey club.  Everything tasted fresh and our food was brought out quickly!  I really couldn't believe how smoothly it all went!  We were  surprised!!! :)
Good place for: Beer (they have a ton) on draft...Full Bar also!
Food: Appetizers, Salads, Soups, burgers
My only piece of advice would be, get there as early as possible! Â We tried going the next night and at 9:45 p.m. were told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait. Â Hopefully, the wait times will shorten as more places start to open! :)
