Zazzy'z has Ollie's excellent coffee on tap and for home, although the latter may run low during peak demand. Â Which is nearly always, because his blends and roasts often are spot-on in character while adapting to current crops. Â The named blends always carry their themes, and matching changing tastes to these themes is good work. Â The coffee availability is stretching out of the store-front to retailers with bricks and electrons. Â If I still lived up here, I likely would have great things to say about the events often hosted here, from readings to drum circles to facial hair to gurning to politics...
Another great point: Zazzy'z is a successful local business incubator. Â The yarn shop moved to much larger digs years ago and still is going strong. Â Babycakes Cupcakery also has moved out for greater production. Â Art work available rotates regularly. Â So not only do the coffees come from reputable sources, but the building supports and grows the local economy.
Funky little coffee place that roasts their own beans. Â Had the light roast Ethiopian, excellent! Â Located in an old Victorian era home, you can wander around browsing while drinking your coffee. Â Had some regional interest books, and gift items to purchase. Â The food looked promising, I was only there for coffee though.
Review Source:So glad to have a place like this in the small town of Abingdon. Â All the food I've tried there is great. Â Workers are friendly, but not necessarily efficient. (I unfortunately got in line after the Sunday church crowd let out. Â I was 8th in line, and the line did not move for 10 minutes! I like Zazzy's, but not that much to waste my time.) Â The coffee is good. Â Tea selection is great, when they have them. Â A lovely atmosphere to spend an afternoon in.
