When my friend and I arrived at Zinc we were under the impression that we would be able to use the $10 for $20 deal found here on yelp. Â We were hilariously mistaken. Â It all started with our first trip to the bar. Â The bartenders were nice, but were unaware that this deal was available on yelp. Â They told us to go and speak with the workers at the front desk. Â To our increasingly humorous surprise we were told that Zinc and the Holiday Inn were separate entities. Â We attempted to reason with the front desk workers, but they insisted that they could not do anything. Â The one worker took us back into Zinc, claiming that he would speak with the bartender. Â He walked into the back, avoided the bartenders and casually walked back up to us stating that he could not find any information about this special deal. Â We then proceeded back out to the front desk where the worker told us he would call his manager to find out about the deal. Â We decided to go back into the bar and order our drinks, figuring at that point we were not going to be receiving much assistance. Â We had our drinks, shared a few laughs as the man sitting next to us awkwardly stared at me. Â This may be beyond my primary point, but it made for a subtly awkward environment. Â The workers appeared uninformed and unwilling to make the necessary efforts to ensure customer satisfaction. Â In conclusion, I walked up to the front desk on our way out and asked the worker what happened to all of the oatmeal raisin cookies. Â I suggested that he ate them by asking him where all the cookies had gone. Â He smiled just as he had the three previous times we confronted him about the deal gone awry. Â Needless to say, my friend and i were disappointed with the lack of service and will probably not be returning to Zinc. Â They will need to improve their intercommunication in order to avoid further confusion for their staff and their customers.
