2020 Martini Cafe and Lounge

Went there on a Friday night to celebrate with a friend for her birthday.  The service was horrible.  ALthough the food was good, it took us almost 2 hours to get it.  Plus, they were out of most of the more popular items.  The only great thing about our visit was the live band.  They were off the chain.  Not sure if the restaurant was just having a bad night, but any restaurant should be well stocked and prepared for dinner on a Friday night.  Don't know if I will visit again.

The food appeared to look good but the service is terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It took 30 minutes for me and my date to be seated because the majority of the seating was being taken up for a card game. After we were seated, no one bothered to bring up menus. After another 30 minutes I went to the hostess stand and asked for menus. I told the manager that I was disappointed because people that had arrived  after me were seated, had there order taken and I had drinks. His reply was that he was "sorry". My date and I sat for and hour and no one bother to take our order. I tried to get the staffs attention but they refused to make eye contact or acknowledged me. Finally my date demanded to speak with a manager. When she finally came, she also said that she was sorry that we had to wait an hour. She offered us a gift voucher or she said that she would take our order. We agreed to have our order taken. She took our order with a pin that I had to give her because she didn't have one. My date and I waited another hour. No one bothered to bring us the drinks that we ordered. We noticed everyone' s table had at least drinks on it except for us.  We spoke to the manager again and told her that we were leaving. She gave us both gift vouchers and said that she was sorry because we waited 2 and a half hours for nothing. The entire experience of awful, it seemed like every chance the staff had to turn our negative experience into a positive experience was ignored.  I will never go back to that restaurant again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been looking for good Cajun food for quite sometime.  I had the seafood gumbo and New Orleans Seafood Jambalaya.  It was pretty good.  I was a little disappointed though.  The main reason we went was because the website menu showed they had Etouffee.  The menu in the restaurant did not have it.  We didn't go for the band, just food.  It was not New Orleans but the food was pretty good for VA.
