Guy bartender was so rude! My friend ordered a drink and turn around to ask me if I wanted a drink and the bartender yelled, "you need to look at me when ordering a drink". Wouldn't recommend to go here unless you want bad bar service...

21st Amendment has a lot going for it:  it's interior features plenty of really beautiful dark wood, the front is entirely open, the bar itself is impressive in its scale and simplicity, and the massive ceiling fan (what looks to be the motor off a small propeller plane retrofitted with eight-foot-long fan blades) is mesmerizing.

That being said, I did not take much of liking to 21st Amendment. The drinks are slightly more expensive than some other, more student-friendly bars on Dickson. It doesn't have a great selection of beers:  it has most the beers you'd expect at any bar, and even basement-price brews like Budweiser will cost you $3 per bottle. The clientele reflects (and surely must influence) this reality. There were way too many ripped dudes in bursting-at-the-seams v-neck t-shirts strutting around. Everyone seemed at least in their late 20s and willing to spend some extra dollars to avoid a sort of mangier, frugal clientele such as my four friends and I. One of those ripped clients decided to sucker punch some older man at the bar, bringing him soundly down to the floor with a solid thud (recall the beautiful dark and apparently quite hard wood mentioned earlier). This was quite the scandal. Maybe they should require proof of stable testosterone levels in addition to a valid state-issued photo ID? We could make it the 28th Amendment, revising the 21st.

The bar does have a kind of sophisticated vibe (to use Cathy Y's observation). Too bad the clientele doesn't. Sorry to harp on the people so much here but, hey, the kind of people you stand around with are a big part of going to a bar. I doubt I'll go back.

This is a unique bar with a great atmosphere.  I hung-out with some friends to kill time before going to a show.

The atmosphere is like a man cave.  There's wood paneling on one side with a distressed brick wall on the other.  There's some framed pictures from the 1920's, TVs and one HUGE ceiling fan.  You can see the pics showing the shelves of bottles behind the bar.  There's several bar tables/chairs around the front end along with a couple leather sofas and chairs along the walls.

We arrived before the crowd and left as the place was filling up.  It's a cool place to hang out.  We sat at the leather sofa/char area.  I only wish I had a cigar with me at the time.

Forgive me, I failed to notice the beer selection.  Once we walked in, I was definitely in a mood for liquor.  We had several beverages and the tab was nowhere near as high as we were expecting.

If I'm hanging out in Fayetteville for an evening, this bar is definitely at the top of my list.
