Finally stepped foot into this establishment due to a friend having her birthday there. We arrived around 1030 on a Sat night and there was no line and no cover charge, a great plus. We walk inside and it's relatively poppin, we immediately find the birthday girl and her reserved VIP corner they had sectioned off for her. The bar is like any other bar around the colleges, the dj played ok music, and the cocktail servers came around every 3mins trying to get drink orders. I went to the bar after an hour to order from the kitchen, closed, before Midnight! Really? What really sucked was my friend was supposed to get a pizza and cake with her birthday reservation and no one came to tell her the kitchen was closing.(considering the cocktail waitresses were hovering over our group like hawks). So we got no pizza, but they did supply a cake. (take my word for it and skip the cake). They also had this contest where they say 'the hottest girl' would win a cash prize. A ploy to get desperate drunk girls on the dance floor to show off their goods, very sad. In the end there was no winner or money prize, just a bunch of drunk girls grinding the floor thinking they're all still competing for a cash prize. All in all the service was more pushy than nice and if not for the birthday I would more than likely not have stayed here for enjoyment purposes. The drinks were pricey and not strong (the birthday girl had quite a lot of drinks, but still walked out on her own at the end of the night, and she is NOT a heavy drinker at all). Haven't tried the karaoke they supposedly have her. Don't know if I will.
Review Source:NEVER, EVER go to the Second Street Saloon in Upland...our experience was awful from beginning to end. There were 3 bartenders and 1 waitress on duty when we got there. They were out of my husband's first TWO choices for draft beer (even though both were listed on their menu). Our salad arrived dry, the waitress said "oh, I don't know" when I told her...that was it. Our California Chicken arrived dry with a slice of processed white cheese on it, one hard tomato slice, 1 slice of mediocre applewood bacon and a quarter of an avocado. Our steamed veggies were just that...steamed...no seasoning, comprised of celery (yes...steamed celery), green and red peppers, squash, zucchini, and coarsely chopped carrots. To top it off we had some amazing french fries. The waitress brought our check, saying "sorry for the neglection." NEVER. AGAIN.
Review Source:I've been here several times and it is time I write a review.
This place is a rip off!! Simple as that. $5 bud lights and $6 for craft beer and they're small glasses. The mixed drinks are terrible and don't look the way they should. The staff is friendly only the waitress that served us was a ditz.
So to make the night a bit more interesting I order 4 shots and a beer for my group for a grand total of $32, not to mention she never told me what kind of vodka it was. Oh and the shots were more like sips, they use the glasses that look full but are really just thick glass, got tricked on that one.
The crowd is okay, a mix of younger and older people. Music isn't bad. Cool little dance floor. Free pool is a plus but only bunk nights like Wednesdays, they charge weekends.
In conclusion I leave there with a lighter wallet and very little satisfaction.
You're better off at tequila hoppers. The friendly staff earns them a second star.
We have friends who come here religiously for the beer pitchers and free pool. The waitresses suck and only get better once you have been there at least 4 times and each time leaving good tips... and even then there are many waitresses who look like they would rather be getting their teeth cleaned. Only major puls is weekdays after 10pm all food except steak is 1/2 off. (I'd recomend the burrito) And on sunday if you buy a picther a pizza is only $5
Review Source:I've had some pretty cool nights here! It has everything you could really want in a bar: Good amount of space, designated dance floor, pool tables, two bathrooms, etc. Bar gets a little crowded, but if you sit in the pool room long enough a waitress will come by and get an order down for you!
Staff is always chill too which is much appreciated by yours truly!
I stopped in here a few months ago for a beer with a friend on a Saturday around 5 or 6pm. Asked the bartender for a Coors light she said 5bucks. I was shocked, I laughed and said you know this isn't LA right?! She was not amused I gave her 5 bucks. She than asked if I was going to tip her. NOPE!
Fast forward a few months. I visited with my girlfriend for a family members bday. I must admit its a nice looking bar.
The door guy seemed OK obvious that he was sizing me up though. The beer prices still a little high. The mixed drinks we ordered seemed a bit weak however I have had much worse. Prices seemed average. The waitress was semi attentive but obvious she could care less to be there or at least to be dealing with the party.
I have read a lot of negative reviews about this establishment. All in all I would never choose to go here again on my own however if I was with a group and this was the only available convenient option I would not be opposed to going.
This place is okay. I've been here a few times. The drinks weren't great and the music was so loud that you don't even have room to think. There weren't a whole lot of placed to sit either unless you want to sit outside which is very crowded. It was a $10 cover which is silly to me because I've paid less for a better time elsewhere. It was fun a week before Halloween but other than that it was just okay.
Review Source:Service at the bar is ridiculously bad. The waitstaff talk among themselves and flirt while ignoring customers and empty glasses. These ladies were consumed by some exciting gossip about an employee who may be fired. I REALLY wasn't interested in this "exciting" drama, I wanted a drink. If I wanted theatrics I would go see a play. There were FOUR women behind the bar very busy talking  to each other about this nonsense while doing a fantastic job of ignoring the customers. The bar surface is sticky and smells nasty, very, very poorly run place.
Review Source:Meh.
I was invited to celebrate a birthday here; I reluctantly said I'd go......
I was taken aback to see there was a cover charge. Fortunately, we were on a list and we got in free. Otherwise, I would have probably left.
They had a DJ, playing music that reminded me of partying in TJ on Revolucion.
Think Fat Man Scoop "Put yo hands up Put yo hands up"
I was standing there thinking, "Really....me, here?" Then I planned my escape route.
I timed myself exactly one hour, bought the birthday girl a drink (She was drinking Long Island Ice tea) Who still drinks those ?
After about 55 minutes of watching comedy take place on the dance floor.......I said " Thanks for inviting, have a great evening." And abruptly shook the spot.
I felt even worse for dragging someone here with me but hey, at least we were on the same page. We both felt the same way about the entire experience.......
I am embarrassed I stepped foot into this club, Is Upland considered the IE?
Came for a friend's birthday
Birthday perks:
1$ for your first drink for everyone in your party
Free admission for everyone in you party
Free large pizza
Free cake
Your own table w/ no charge
Music: The DJ plays a lot of remixes but only play the song for a short time thus it kills the mood when your favorite song comes up
Crowd: Mostly Hispanics and Whites, late 20's and over
Drinks: The cocktails were delicious. AMF, LA water, and margarita are  some of the drinks we got.
Other perks: midnight shots-1$ shots from waitresses on top of the bar. They pour it straight to your mouth from the bottle; I believe it is whiskey.
Would come again for any friend's birthday.
I went down there in scorching hot weather on a Friday to see a preseason football game because they advertised on Facebook the following: "Come watch you NFL PRE SEASON here at 2nd ave saloon....
FREE POOL ALL DAY AND NIGHT
BUY A PITCHER GET A PIZZA FOR 4.99$$$$
3$ KAMAKAZIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Â
I had called earlier in the week to ask if the 49er game would be showing there, they said if it's on TV then they'll show it. Â When we got there, no, they don't have the NFL package, so only whatever was on the NFL channel. Â We decided to stay and watch that game. Â I asked for a pitcher of beer and the $4.99 pizza, the waitress said that was just on Sundays. Â I pulled up what they said on Facebook (what's listed above) and she said she would have to ask the manager. Â She was gone nearly 10 minutes before she came back to tell us that the manager was going to pull up their Facebook page and see what it said. Â I told her, I just showed you what it said. Â She said she'd need to wait to see what the manager said. Â Ok fine, can we have a Coors? Â "We have Coors Light". Â That was it, we were gone. Â We wasted our time and gas on THEIR ERROR. Â Come on guys, seriously, you couldn't give away ONE pizza for $4.99 to make a customer happy, since you posted it on your own page??? Â You guys BLEW IT!
I have been to this place twice but the first time was only for an hour because I showed up late and it seemed OK. However, I planned my friends 22nd bday party there and it was great! We all had a blast! Saw this special on Facebook and set it all up with the manager. He was very nice and helpful and when we got there that Saturday night everything worked out well. It is cool because it is divided; one half pool tables and the other bar/dancing. Although, the bar gets way crowded and the bar tenders seemed to be playing favorites a bit too much. It got pretty packed but it was fun. Drinks were a little weak but either pregame or just get a jack and coke & shots and your good. I was trashed by closing so I had fun dancing, drinking and playing pool. I would go back to this place but it would be a treat not an every weekend thing or just for a special occasion.
Review Source:Should be called piece of $hit bar. Â
I have no idea why people come here, our waitress smelled like ass and her service was even worse. Â She showed up once and that was it, which was a good thing because she seriously smelled really bad. Â
We complained to the manager about the service and was only given half assed excuses, didnt seem to care.
Most importantly, the drinks here are BAAAD. Â very bad. Â
Never going back here, i'd try another place.
This place has that dive bar feel with a touch of the club.
In the last few weeks I've been going here when the fellas and I just want to get out and have a few. There are always a few cuties in there ( a few ugly ones too.LOL).
There is a patio , and pool tables.so if you want to dance or chill this place has you covered
See you there
So last weekend i celebrated my 22nd birthday and to tell you the truth I wish I wouldve worked on my birthday rather than celebrate it. So last saturday 05/19/2012 me, my girlfriend, my brother, and a couple of my other friends went to 2nd ave sports bar and grill in upland. Man was that a mistake. First, my brother couldn't get in because of how "baggy" his pants were. After my I had tried to convince them to let my brother in, he finally left to go home in to change. Another guy (who jus happens to be white) walks up with his wife, and his pants were so baggy they flopped over his shoes. Thats when I asked the security guy if they dont consider the his pants as too baggy, and the guy looked at me and shrugged, and said "no". This is when I started to get mad, but i just decided to let it go and just go on having a good time. So my brother went to go change and the rest of us went inside. After getting our drinks, we decided to go play some pool. As we get back to our tables, we notice that there is a couple that is sitting at one of our tables. As I get ready to approach them and let them know that the table was reserved for our party, they had already gotten up and left. Thats when a waiter brought over some hot wings and chips and salsa. We did not order this food but we figured ok, they give you a free meal on your birthday so we ate a couple. Another waiter came back wit some more drinks, and asked us where we got the food from. we told her that another waiter had brought them to us. She then grabs it all and rushes it away? Then the owner comes up and tells us that we either have to pay for the food, or get out. I said, OK no problem and asked how much it was. He looked at me, and said "I'm serious! Pay or get out!" Well a friend of ours just went up to him and paid him and then the owner left. He then comes back to us afterwards, and tells us "Ya know, this isn't Pomona, this is Upland and we don't deal with any ghetto ass shit here" while looking at me the whole time straight in the face. Now none of us were acting in any way that can be considered ghetto, we barely been in there ten minutes before this all happened. And for the fact that he was saying this isnt pomona, assuming thats where I am from, I already knew what he was trying to imply.Thats when my girlfriend and  I along with a cople of my friends decided to walk outside. A friend that was with our group came outside to try to find us because the owner kept coming back himself to take the drinks away that were on the table even tho there was still about half the drink left. So thats when my girl decided to go bac inside to try to talk to him. I wasnt tryin to go back in there no way because at that point I was so mad that if anything i would have said to him wouldve not have been good. So she told the owner about the other people that were at our reserved table, and how they could've ordered the food, and that we were willing to pay for the food, and how it was uncalled for for him to call us ghetto and assume that we dont come from a good neighborhood. He said that it doesn't matter if we get offended its his business .My friend then asked him if he thought that we were from Pomona all because I was black. The owner said, "No, there's no blacks in Pomona, only Mexicans" and then looked right at my girlfriend. She asked hm if he thought she was Mexican, and he stated "looks it to me, now you can either leave or get escorted out." So after it was all said and done well all ended up at friar tucks in pomona where we supposedly belong.
Now for those of you who know me I am not ghetto by any shape or form as a matter of fact as much as I hate to hear it, some say im "whitewashed". And I also live in claremont not pomona. But it really shouldnt matter if you are  "ghetto" or if you do live in pomona or east la or south central la for that matter. As long as you are being respectful and not starting any shit no one should have the right treat you like that ecspecially on your birthday. The only reason im writing ths is because I felt like you all should know this so you can be aware of your whats going on around you and if your being treated  like everyone else. I am not the only one with a bad review from this bar. If you go on yelp you will see more reviews that resembles my review. If it were up to me I would ask all of you not to go to 2nd ave because if your gonna be spending your own money, you at least should be treated with respect. We all do want we want to do and I know I cant stop you from going there but I hope that all that I said to you will at least make it not be your first choice. Because in reality if they treated me like this, this probably wasnt their first time, and it most likely wont be there last.
Bad management in my opinion for letting some judgmental security guard determine who he is going to let in or not. I could understand if I was dressed like some kind of thug or something but come on I was there with my wife and friends trying to have a good time.
Our Friends were there celebrating a buddy's bday there. We drove 45min to get there and all I heard from this rent a cop was "its not up for negotiation". I'm sorry but I'm a grown man and I do not need you or anyone telling me I have to wear tighter pants because he didn't like the way they fit on me. This is not scandia or magic mountain and I'm not some kid. I know what is appropriate to wear and I was not going to drive all the way home and change to satisfy your tight pant fetish.
When we asked for the manager to discuss the issue we were told they refused to come out and talk to us and said it was up to that a**hole. So for the security there I hope someone judges you at some point the same way you did me. I missed my good friends bday celebration because of you, I hope that made u feel  real good like a big boy with an important job! For reals it's a bar in upland not a club in LA or something. You should have listened to what we were trying to explain to you instead of being a dick! And thanks to the management for not caring for there potential customers, great way to run a business. I felt very disrespected and will never go to or recommend anyone to this establishment.
Been here a few times. Its pretty cool. So far no drama, the drinks are well priced and the music is good. The dance floor is a little small but most people don't really come here for dancing. The pool room is huge and I haven't checked out the Karaoke part yet.
I've been here on Friday and Saturday nights and I like it. I'll have to check it out during the week though. I hear Taco Tuesdays are pretty fun.
Free pool on Monday nights, can't beat that! Â This place is huge and it's not overly crowded during the week. Â I went with a few friends for a couple of drinks and some pool. Â We had a great time and they catered to our music requests.
It's one of those low key dive bars, so don't dress up.
$5 cover charge? Â Okay, whatever. Â This place gets a one star bonus for having a decent sound system. Â However, a decent sound system is worthless if the DJ is lame. Â And let me tell you, DJ Romeo is lame. Â There were lots of people hanging around the dance floor who obviously wanted to dance. Â But the floor was empty most of the time because of the lame tracks this guy was playing. Â When he would finally play something that was bumpin' people would go to the floor and after 20 seconds he would transition (I'm doing him a favor by using the term transition) into something lame and undanceable. Â Sweet Home Alabama? Â Seriously? Â How about Violent Femmes-Blister in the Sun with an annoyingly fast break beat laid over it played for a whole 4 minutes? Â Oh, wait, here's 20 seconds of something slamming to get everyone on the floor. Â Okay, now that you're here let me play some Queen for you. Â
So, other than that, the place was just mediocre. Â Staff was not very attentive. Â Waitress will ignore you if they're busy flirting with other staff members. Â Drinks are a bit watery but I guess I shouldn't complain at $5 each.
Being an NBA fan without cable is a painful situation since the entire playoffs (sans the Finals) are on cable. Â Yeah you can find a few sites that stream them but they are usually a few minutes behind and/or pixelated to the point it looks like you're playing a Super Nintendo game on a 5 inch television screen. Â I decided that I needed to go somewhere to watch the games.
I was lead to 2nd Avenue Saloon & Sports Bar, since it was close by.  I was surprised by the size of the place.  It has a dive bar look to it, but its far from one.  The bathrooms are clean which is always a huge plus at a bar.  Finding a place to sit and watch the game here isn't a problem here as there are  more than enough HD television screens.  Not too many places actually put the volume of the game on the loud speaker, but they did that here and it was awesome.
The drinks are priced as you would expect them to be, but their food seems a bit high for its quality. Â If you're going to order something with fries, tell them to go light on the salt. Â It will seem as if the salt shaker opened up on the cook, but that isn't the case. Â I've been here twice and it was extremely salty each time.
They have a large pool room and offer free pool play during the week. Â There's a karaoke room as well. Â I would have given this place four stars but the food was average at best and the service was only decent.
I had heard about this place and finally made it down for a friends birthday.
I'm going to keep it real on here, first off i was a little turned off the fact that there was a cover for a bar. (Only 5$ not too bad)
Ordering drinks was a pain, there was 3 people working, although if you have a table a waitress comes and gets them for that was very cool.
The size of the venue was large for a bar, and I like the fact that it has pool tables on the other side.
The dance floor was not that big, the lighting was cool and the crowd was pretty chill.
Some of the guards were annoying because you wouldn't "stand" in certain places but its like where do we stand if there are no tables?
The DJ was ok, there was not consistent vibe too many random tracks.
Overall it was ok, all it would take to make this place better would be faster drink service and better music, but the crowd was there.
For what it is, it's just OK! Â But if they charge a cover, it kinda sucks.
There is room to move around in here, which is good because the place can get packed Fri/Sat night - pretty nice sized pool room (8 tables), patio area with TVs, and small karaoke room and dance floor. Â The food is pretty much the frozen and fried stuff served at your local bowling alley.
One good thing is there is LOTs of staff - security and hot waitresses, so you're going to get "served" one way or another.
We went on a Sunday because the football playoffs and it was close to the bicycle path. I wish there was a 2.5 stars because that's what I would give. Â It's a so-so place. Â
The good:
Pools tables are free on Sundays'; Lot's a room with various sectioned off areas; nobody there for being a sports bar and the play offs which means more breathing room for us. Outside patio, however the passer-byers stop and watch the game while you are eating. It's kinda annoying to have someone you don't know standing over your food to watch a game. The hostess was nice. The Pricing was not too bad; Bathrooms were cleaned very well. Â Bathrooms do say a lot about a place. Â
The bad:
The food was absolutely awful & Cheesy. Â Typical cheap sports bar food. Â The $4.99 pizza that is given w/ a pitcher of beer is of lesser quality than little Cesar's or chuckie cheese. The buffalo wings were not too spicy and well liked.
Service was the worse. Took us nearly an hour to get our bill even though we asked for it 3 times. The waitress was a total ditz, enough said.
The most uncomfortable chairs of any place I've ever been too, while a nice comfortable seating area is dangled in front of the patrons to not touch because it's for the "owner"... Seriously? Dude your place isn't that good to put yourself in that kind of luxury while other have to put up w/ the left overs. I believe that show lack of respect for your customers. Owner: If you are reading this.... take it home w/ you, don't rub people noses in it.
I like this place. I like it a lot. Â The manager is super sweet, attentive and an amazing host. Â Keeps this placed running like a well oiled machine. Rarely do you find someone who honestly cares how his patrons are doing. Â Most flirt with the drunken bimbos and ignore hungry/thirsty patrons.
The girls are in really tight shorts.. but that is okay. Â I'm here for the booze and the food. Â and the amazingly warm inviting atmosphere.
I really like the rolled tacos? Taqitos? Â Don't know what they are called.. but really big and really delicious. Â Just the right amount of salt with crispy.
The wings are good, plentiful and not too spicy. Â The nacho's are good but whoever is in the back.. chillax on the super spicy sauce. Â My mouth still tingles in fright when I think about it.
I loved loved Karaoke Thurs nights,.. the placed is filled with everyone just having a good time. Â Fight nights are super awesome as well.
I love how this isn't your wannable "trend" spot or a rape you alley dive bar... this is a happy place.. just filled with happy people. Â And the occasional drunk douche.. what place doesn't?
Good location, good parking (Back), good food. Â A sweet place to chill in Upland.
+ Shows all the UFC fights for a reasonable cover
+ Dayshift bartender/manager (Joan) is funny and personable
+ Decent priced drinks
+ Eight beers on tap
+ Serves good food
+ Relaxed dress code
- Parking gets a little crazy if you don't get there early enough
Been there three times and every time I go back I am never disappointed. Â Great bar for the I.E.
Atmosphere:
It's your typical bar to watch sports and play some pool. (1Star)
Taste:
UPDATE! I had their Mahi and Asada Burritos last night...they were delicions! And the wife has gone there for lunch...she said the Burgers were great too!
-----------------
I have never had the food there except their steak fries with my beer when I'm watching the Lakers games...not bad...Heff on tap... (1 Star) Â
Price:
Typical prices. (1Star)
Service:
The girls there are great. No complaints. As long as they keep the beer coming during the games...I'm totally fine. (1 Star)
Overall:
This is my favorite spot to go to for sports games. They got flast screens everywhere. If you can get a seat at the bar...that's the best place to be. (1 Star)
Before I moved to the 626, I lived FOR FOURTEEN YEARS in the 909. Â
And for five of those years, within walking distance of what was then the Baldy Brewery. Â Fast forward another five years and the place is now twice the size, with a small dance floor, and a large separate billiard hall.
Everything you've heard about the Inbred Empire is true, but exaggerated. Â In other words: Â it ain't the best place to live, but it's not all that bad.
Let's take 2nd Avenue Saloon for an example. Â UFC wannabes? Â Check. Â Affliction shirts? Â Check. Â Tattoos galore? Â Check. Meth dealers? Â Probably one or two. Â But was the place awash with them? Â No, not really. Â In fact, the place was mainly filled with average joes and janes wanting to blow off steam on a Friday night (including my friends who were there for a birthday party).
A fine selection of beer on tap, including one of my favorites: Â Stone IPA. Â Full bar, and VERY reasonable prices. Â That's what's great about the Inland Empire: Â reasonable prices.
The music wasn't bad either. Â DJ was spinning a nice mix of 80s alternative, hair rock and dance. Â Altogether enjoyable.
$5 cover wasn't too bad. Â
Bottom line is if you find yourself behind the Inland Curtain, it's a fine, unpretentious place to have a few drinks, but certainly not worth the 45 minute drive from LA unless one of your loyal friends is happening to be celebrating her birthday (hi Sabrina!)
Visiting SoCal from the Bay Area, why ontario and not LA, there was a wedding here. Well, we hit up a bar next to this at first which was alright, didnt expect much. We got bored and went into this business and Bam! Me and my boi had a blast! Yes there is a $5 cover charge (we went on a fri) but well worth it!
Like the review beneath me specifies, this bar has to be one of the few bars were i was in love with all the waitres' (other than vegas). I mean they were all smoking hot, Super friendly and fast to serve you drinks! Me and my friend only got beers so I cant tell you much on how the drinks were. The place has a Dance floor, pool tables, kareoke bar, and the DJ was tearing it up!
All in all, we had a blast! I cant remember the last time i had this much fun at a sports bar. Especially since we didnt expect much from Ontario ( no offense) its just not known as a party spot.
ps. did i forget to mention the ratio was good and theyre was plenty of hot girls As well!
This place is a must if youre visiting from out of town. Â Everybody was very friendly as well.

So I admit, I'm a little bitter that this place replaced their karaoke with an inferior karaoke company. Now I have no reason to go here anymore. But that doesn't mean my opinion has to be biased. For everyone else, this is a great place.
Let's start with the obvious: The waitstaff here is HOT! Of all the bars I've been to, these girls are the sexiest. They wear tight black outfits, and don't pretend that you don't like that. You do. Their clothes look painted on. Hubba hubba!
If that's not enough, they do $1.00 shots "Coyote Ugly style" at midnight. The girls stand up on the bar and pour shots into your mouth. It's fun. It's exciting. It's what you want!
How about the clients? The age group who come here are people in their 20's. Sometimes you'll get a few groups of middle-aged people. The girls come ready to party in their heels and dresses. Men come ready to pick up on these girls. It's kind of a meat market. They have a DJ and dance floor where the girls like to dance their hearts out and the guys try to win their hearts.
Finally, there's the food! Their food is awesome! They have great hamburgers, great pizza, great everything!!! Most restaurants don't even have food this good.
I'm still disappointed with the new karaoke company they have, but aside from that, whoever owns this bar has a great thing going for them.
Nothing like traveling 40 miles to celebrate one of the homies birthdays. There arent too many reviews on this place, the myspace website sucks, so I just had to go and see for myself what 2nd Ave Saloon was all about.
Arriving at 10pm, still early in my book, the place was already crowded. Cover fee was $5, not too bad. There was a small line forming to get in, but it wasnt long before I got in. You could hear the loud music from outside the bar. I heard it all yesterday, from Nirvana to Michael Jackson to T.I.
There is a bar area, a dance floor, and a area to play pool. Renting the pool table was $12 an hour. We basically rented it out till closing and partied with lots of drinks. There were waitresses coming around every so often to ask if we needed more drinks. Beers started off at $5 for domestics and went up depending on what drinks you got.
Lots of guys here wearing small sized shirts when they should be wearing large or XL. If you walked into this bar, you could see how hot the trend tattoos were. Everyone seemed to have one. The crowd was mostly white and hispanic, but its all good. We Asians seem to always start trouble when theres too many of us. No fights ever broke out. The restrooms were very clean in terms of bar standards.
Good times.
This place used to be the Old Baldy Brewery.
Second Avenue Saloon is a huge bar/club/pool hall, thats one of the nicer places in the Rancho, Upland areas.
This is the first bar/club that I have ever been to, where their male bathrooms dont have piss ALL over the floors, and smell good..consistently!!
Theres usually a 5 dollar cover, but there is never a line, Â and is never too crowded. Â Theres always a good crowd there; theres never any fights like other lame places where wannabe mma fighters get mad for looking at their girls.
The service is pretty fast, cool bartenders, cool cocktail servers
Music is basic top 40, sometimes electro, little bit of rock, djs are usually pretty good, and on occasion will actually play requests which i never see at other places.
I recommend this place to anyone in the area and people from elsewhere looking for a good time
Only negative is the price of beers, 5 for domestic, 6 import..lil pricey for IE...its like they're halfway between Hollywood/Vegas prices and normal bars....i still give it 5 stars
