If you check into FourSquare you get free chips, and if you check into Yelp you get 10% off your whole order. Cannot be combined...

We decided to hit up this joint because it was right next to the beach. We were sat right by the main entrance. One of my friend's ordered the coconut alcoholic slushy and got it replaced with a beer because it was too sweet, too artificial, and gross. I thought it was okay, but it wasn't the best drink I've ever tasted. A friend thought someone ordered the chips (didn't know it was free), and so she ordered the nacho chips plate to pitch in LOL Thanks for the nachos friend! The chips were okay, not that great, while the nachos were delish like usual.

Our waitress was not the brightest person in the world. We asked her what type of imported beers she had, and she asked us what we meant by that. Major fail...

You can pretty much people watch at this bar. We saw so many different types of people walk by. We saw a Corona beer guy ride by and my friends went out there to take a pic with him.

My most fav kick back bar in Pb. Love the live music and the sliders & homemade chips rock! We go there alot and Tia & Justine are so much fun! If you haven't been go check it out! Great prices and great staff!
Chicago sports bar so go and watch some games, too!

Our first time here... we were having a great time after we were rudely interrupted by a "manager" stating that we weren't allowed to use an electronic cigarette. He gave us no explanation other than its "management preferences". The specials are good.. but service outstands prices, so we decided to leave. Was pretty impressed with this place when we first got here... not AT ALL now.

Went on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. I was a little bummed that there was a cover but it definitely ended up being worth it as the band(Todo Mundo) was great. Minus one star because I was given Rumplemintz and lost my belt.

Went with a date to see my friends' band play (Vicious Phishes), but was thrilled with so much more when I got there! Super cheap drinks; great atmosphere and live music; down-to-earth, friendly, and FAST bartenders; and just an overall awesome vibe and nice people. This is definitely going to be a new go-to spot for me in PB!!!

Very rude. The bouncer has an attitude for no reason. Way too much competition in the area to go here. Stay away

On Friday June 7th, 710 Beach Club held a Benefit Concert at their place for the organization Liam's Fund where there goal is to purchase state-of-the-art equipment. Liam's Fund seeks to raise funds for sophisticated neurosurgical equipment that can reduce the number of surgeries performed and significantly increase the number of successful procedures for children who face the anguish of brain surgery for Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego. 710 Beach Club worked & help organize this benefit concert to give back to the community. Huge plus, Lexington Field played for the Benefit Concert! They have a stage with a nice sound system, full bar & kitchen. Every night is a different night with awesome specials.

PROS
- nice friendly people
- affordable prices
- kitchen closes the curtain so the reflection doesn't bother people while band is playing
- multiple TVs
- owner actually works
CONS
- it's Pacific Beach so parking will be difficult
- sound is loud, bring ear plugs if bothers you

If I come to Pacific Beach I will support this bar and Scott. He is a guy with a big heart!

This review is for lunch only. The three of us picked the small patio on the right for our Sunday lunch because of the "dog friendly" sign. Wasn't expecting much in the way of food or service. Was surprised on both counts. The guy came out to let us know we could order inside and they would bring out our food. We ordered pulled pork, jalapeño steak and Italian sandwiches with fries and homemade chips. Took about 10 minutes and everything was really good! My Italian sub had really fresh lettuce & the tomato was ripe, not hard. Good dressing & they toasted the roll. Fries & chips were hot and fresh too! The boys liked their sandwiches also. We were offered water for the dogs when our meals came out. A very good experience all around!

Easily became our favorite bar in PB. Fell in love with this place on Cinco De Mayo and spent the next few nights here enjoying our vacation. Dustin the bartender is AWESOME! He made each experience very enjoyable and even made us some of his best drinks. They had live music on certain nights and trivia on others. what a fun little place! When we move to san diego... in a few years Im sure this will be our go to bar.

I don't expect too much out of a PB bar. I really don't. They're a dime a dozen in that stretch and they all feel the same.

That being said, this one at least, feels slightly more intimate and less intimidating. The bartenders aren't the super friendly type, but I can't expect them to be uber cheerful after a full Saturday of beer/booty chasing bros and their vapid, female counterparts ordering stupidly named shots and pounding back cheap beer.

Decent deals on weekends. Difficult parking and far enough away from the main drag that it's slightly inconvenient.

This is a great Chicago Bar. I am a huge bears fan so finding a place where I can watch all the games after moving here was on my mind(even in the off season). This bar is lots of fun and the staff are great. Trivia night on Mondays is a great time out with friends too.

I really don't like writing bad reviews but there was nothing redeeming in our short visit here. Without hesitation I can say the drinks were frankly...a joke. Forget weak vs strong. They just tasted bad. I don't know how you screw up a margarita and a vodka tonic like that. And we had a fish taco and a carnitas taco. They were in the Taco Bell range of quality - meaning low. Overall disappointing to say the least

This is a FOOD review. I asked the the Chef at the register if the Mahi fish tacos were spicey - he said 'No, not at all". That's funny because the last time i had them they were spicey.
I then told him, I do not want any spice... I can't recall his response. I don't believe i got one....
I took the two taco's to go at $9.25 and took two bites at homes and bit into a hot green pepper and choked. Holy Spit! that was HOT as Hell. No spice - my arse...

The taco has a nice cream sauce on there and the fish was pretty fresh as far as i can tell. Why would they want to destroy a nice fresh piece of fish with a soft flour tortilla and a tasty cream sauce with way TOO much spice?

One reason may be that the pieces of fish were small ...

I took the green spicey peppers out of the taco and cautiously ate the rest of it. If it wasn't 10$ I would have ordered a burger from McDonalds.

The main problem is that the staff is clueless as to what's in the food. Plus, not much food for the money...

I got a pretty good char-broiled burger and home made chips, with a nice cold Coors draft for $7.10 at the 710. I'd like to try the $1 ribs on Wednesdays now. I like a place with daily deals like that...they have, of course, Taco Tuesdays.

we went to eat a burger and watch a basketball game last night. the place was pretty busy , but the server was always arround , ready to take orders for drinks and food.
So-Cal burger was huge- I couldn't finish even half of it (next time will will split one of those). Since there were about 8 group of people she asked if we would like to pay together or split the check. We paid separately (even though the party was more than 6 people she could add 18% gratuity, but she didn't do it and didn't complain about takeing few minutes for splitting as other servers do in different restaurants). We gave her about 30-35% ; she deserves it!

We love the 710 Beach Club, the people are midwest oriented, and location is very unique, located next to Crystal Pier and Kono's breakfast at the beach in San Diego, definitely one of the most beautiful spots in the USA also their activity events are ongoing.......... but, Chicago Bears???? Really???

I could see this place every night coming into the Crystal Pier Hotel. It was always packed at night and It seemed as if everyone was enjoying themselves, so I figured this place must be good.

I stopped by for lunch and the place was empty, I guess its the night life that makes this place great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was just so-so. I ordered the fish tacos that came with a side of plain tortilla chips. The piece of fish in each of my tacos were pretty small, and although the taco had some flavor, it was still in need of something more. I felt like a better, more acidic tartar sauce would have been nice, or a little kick put into the batter of the fish. The chips that came along with it were left to be tossed out, no flavor, and to the best of my knowledge, no salsa came with it. I could be wrong, but I honestly don't remember any being given to me.

I had a bite of the Ahi Tuna Sandwich that came with a side of kettle chips. The sandwich was a little better than my tacos but not by much. I did however like the kettle chips in comparison to my tortilla chips.

Next time I am in Pacific Beach I would most likely avoid this place for lunch, but maybe stop by late night when all the fun activities are being held and have a drink.

Of all the bars in PB I think this might maybe be (to my knowledge as of this writing when i can't think of any other) the most chillest bar there is in the area.

They always have something going on. game nights, open mic nights, bands playing, sports watchings you name it. Best of all, the people are cool and relaxed. From the bartenders to the bartendees this place just gives off a different vibe than other places in PB.

Its a Chicago Bears bar, so right there I loved it. Went for the Monday Night Football game, they had $3 drafts of domestic beer until 7:15, which was halftime. The place was packed. They did a lot of fun stuff like beer chugging contests and giveaways.

I came here for the first time this past Sunday to watch the Bears as I heard rumors that this was the best bar for that, and it was absolutely true! I had so much fun! The service is pretty good. I didn't eat so I can't say anything about food. I did drink (Sunday Funday) and the drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced. I just have a couple negative things to say though.

You see, I have tried to get into this bar before for Monday Night Football. I was very disappointed that I couldn't get in. It wasn't like I was rolling deep with a bunch of dudes, it was just me and my girl friend. 2 cute, petite girls BTW, wearing Bears gear.
Anyways, parking sucks. It is PB though, so keep that in mind. I just paid $5 to park at some nearby lot, since I was all pissed off after I did 5 laps around the streets of PB.

All n'all, good times. I highly recommend it.

I like this place a lot. I usually go on Thursday nights for Rock Out Karaoke... Those guys are SO nice, and it is always a blast!!! Tiia is the waitress that usually works when I'm there, and she is awesome too :)
It seems like there is always something worthwhile gong on there. I plan to check it out on other nights too, but Thursdays are terrific!

I've only been here once, but I still think my review will accurately cover this place. Yea, it's nice that's right next to the beach and they have LOTS of tvs to watch your sporting events. I'm sure they have great bands here too because they have a huge stage. The service is pretty decent for a bar, and the servers are really friendly and helpful. But that's about it.

Drinks: are EXPENSIVE. 7 dollars for a watered down weak mixed drink, ummm no thanks. They have drink specials, go for those.

Food: they have a decent variety of food on their menu, but it's all super expensive. I got the chicken tenders, and they were really burnt and kinda dry. I'm not a sauce person, but I was drowning them in ranch to get some moisture in my mouth. It also kind of sucked that I spent 10 dollars for this food. (I will say though that the food came out really fast, that was nice...)

Overall, PB has many other bars, I would recommend going a couple blocks away from the ocean to get cheaper drinks and better food for reasonable prices.

My low rating is directed more toward how the place is managed. It's ridiculous to only schedule ONE server and ONE cook to serve a full house. We got our drinks quickly, but we didn't stick around for the food after waiting for an hour. Really folks? We got there when it was fairly empty. We should've just gone up to the walk-up window.

The waitress was polite despite the situation she was in, she did her best under the circumstances. I just felt bad for her, because I don't think the other patrons would be as understanding, and after we left, there were more people coming in. I also felt bad for the cook, I'm sure he was blamed for things too, but I'm pretty sure he didn't want to serve raw food in the interest of speed.

Put more people on shift! If it's a budget issue, you clearly aren't saving money because people are leaving and not buying any food.

I've been to this place three times now and each visit gets better and better. But I've still got a sour taste in my mouth from my very first visit here.

We came out to support a friend that puts together a local open DJ night (kinda like and Open Mic night). If you're an aspiring DJ you can coming with you music of a flash drive and use their equipment and sign up for a DJ time slot.

We arrived around 8:30pm (because the NBA Playoffs were still on). Wanted to try out their tacos (heard some real good stuff about them and it was Taco Tuesday) but they ran out. No problem, so we tried their chicken wings. They were actually pretty good. Some the best I've tasted. But when I wanted to order something else (just a little past 9) I was told that the kitchen was already closed. Now most place that I've been too, if not all, at least give warning and last call when the kitchen is about to close. So ok fine. Then I tried to order another pint of beer, but all of a sudden the price of beer changed on us. I'm really, who does that. And they didn't even know why the price change. whatever.

Since that initial experience my our visits have been getting better. Finally tried their taco and they are as good as people have been saying they were. And now the kitchen is open later.

Came with a http://restaurant.com coupon. Didn't sit in the bar, but the outdoor seating to the right of the restaurant. The food wasn't exceptional, just typical bar foods that were oily, fried, and with questionable quality, yet tasty (how can you go wrong with anything fried?!). Ordered nachos (the cheese hardened and came apart in one piece, kind of weird..), portobello mushroom burger (wasn't as satisfying as other portobello dishes are), beef burger (good, with customizable toppings), and buffalo wings (yum).

Was disappointed that they ran out of ahi tuna for the burgers. That was the item I was looking forward to most before coming here.

Street parking is harder to find during afternoons (during happy hours) and nights. There was one guy preparing all the food (poor guy), but the service was friendly and attentive!

Had such a great experience at 710 Beach Club that we went back the very next day while visiting SD for a few days. We went both times during off-peak hours thursday and Friday, which probably helped the rating a bit since there wasn't a crowd to deal with. We sat right at the bar and had fantastic service. The deals were amazing and coincided nicely with what we were there for. Starting at 11 they had a wing deal (forgot what it was, but it was good!) so we got 5 buffalo and 5 thai wings. Both were delicious, not too hot but you'd definitely feel a tingle in your mouth afterwards.

Cheap beers kept us ordering more than we should have.

The next day we went back for $3 Hawaiian beers and $5 plates. The food was a bit lacking in size. I had a small piece of chicken (deliciously marinated), large spoonful of white rice and macaroni salad. You can definitely see why it's only 5 bucks, but it'll take care of your hunger for at least a little while.

The only thing this place needs is a waterfront view!

I've recently been coming here Tuesday nights for their "open DJ jam." Just as the name sounds, it's a night where DJ s can sign up for a 20-30min time slot to get some stage time and spin. For the most part, DJs spin some genre of electronic music (aka EDM).

You gotta have respect for a venue that's willing to take chance on new talent and avoid what I truly disdain about "America's Finest City: " The cursed love for top-40.

If you are a bleeding Chicago Bears fan and would rip apart Tebow at any given chance, this is your new home.

I, fortunately, am a Patriots fan (don't fucking remind me of our losses, you asshole), and often come here to cry alone and drown in the champagne of all beers, aka Miller High Life.

For starters, if you're walking on/by the beach on Garnet, you can't miss it. It's a small, wooden bar meant to house some angry Chicagoans. It supplies them with cheap alcohol and wells, but whenever I go, there are never any specials. How is it that the 7 times I've been, I've "just missed" the special? C'mon!

Drafts are somewhere between $4-$6, and stronger drinks (you need 'em, Chicago fans) are $5-$7. It's a relatively cheap place with a great view, if you're sitting close enough to the street. Everything's out in the open, which I really like, but don't come here for the food.

I got the So-Cal burger, which looked appealing, but fell apart to mush just a couple of bites in. It was decent for bar food, but I didn't finish it, which is upsetting. I also got mahi tacos once, and they were edible, but definitely not worth $10. For $10, I can get two spectacular fish tacos from PB Fish Shop, but it's a bitch to walk 14 blocks, though, which is why I settled. The onions made me cry... or was it just from watching the Bears?

Fries are pretty damn good, and house chips are standard, but definitely come for drinks and apps instead of expecting to eat here.

710 is one of San DIego's beach style bars. It is a great place to people watch, the front wall is open and allows for eating and drinking while enjoying natural sunlight and that nice ocean breeze we all live here for in San Diego. The also have a family friendly restaurant next door known as The Bonfire Grill. The food there is very good.I go there on Thursdays for the all day half price appetizers. The buffalo flavored wings are amazing. Plus the Burger and a Beer for $7.10 is great on Mondays. If you order food come hungry because you will get a lot of food.

They have a daily special everyday of the week, and on Thursdays they host the only live rock band karaoke Rock Out Karaoke. If you like to sing karaoke, then you want to be here on Thursdays! Nothing beats being the lead singer of a live rock band!

This bar is also a well known Chicago Bears bar and it is packed during the games. If you want to get a seat for the game you will need to arrive at least 2hrs earlier then the game or you will be standing. Standing room only, GO BEARS!!!

On a quick note, the bar is 21 and over, but to enjoy the food, you can go right next door, to the Bonfire Grill, which is family friendly they have an outdoor patio for eating.

Daytime/Food
the bar has a good open view to the boardwalk and people watching at Crystal Pier. It has a good laid back vibe and great food specials all week. I am a fan of 25 cents wing Tue and 50 cent rib day. I think they have one of the best burgers in PB that come with some tasty baked chips for under $10. The staff is always friendly. Plenty of TVs to catch sports on. Bonus if you are a Bears fan as this place is serious about the Bears during football season.

Night/Music
Have seen a few bands here and it is worth the cover to watch a good one in a close environment. Drinks are a little overpriced by a little bit for PB standards. They do have fun live band karaoke night that can get quite entertaining. Give them a look.

MUSIC RELATED REVIEW:
This is one of my favorite places to support San Diego's local music scene as 710 has a small stage in the back for bands/musicians to perform. There is enough room for music lovers to dance, party and jam with the bands in front of the stage.

The ceiling was torn down a few years ago to expose more of the foundation of the roof beams. This gives the bar more of a nice open spacious place to be in. Plus, the acoustic sounds bounce nicely off the walls everywhere.

There is a smoking area in the back where you can see a whole collection of band stickers posted everywhere which I like. Come support your local music!

FOOTBALL RELATED REVIEW:
If you are a Bears fan and your hometown is in/near Chicago, this place is your home away from home. When the bears play, this bar is BEAR COUNTRY. I've never seen a dedicated football bar in P.B. that goes beyond cheering and celebrating a Bears touchdown or win than 710 Beach Club.

I'm not from Chicago. I'm a Chargers fan and I am quite jealous there isn't a P.B. bar that even comes close to giving team spirit like 710's staff does with their Bears. And we're in Charger country, period!

5+ stars hands down.

And not just because it's right next to the beach!

We came here last night for my friend's birthday, and the place was HOPPIN'! On a random Tuesday! They were featuring live music, and the bands were pretty good.

I had also baked (ok, overbaked...who walks into a bar with two trays of cupcakes AND a cake on top of that?) some funfetti goodness for said birthday, and they were totally chill about letting us into the bar with the desserts, despite me not calling ahead.

I immediately got a good vibe upon walking in - just fun, chill times. There's even a pool table in the back!

Though they had live music this particular night, but they usually feature cool happenings like a Beer Pong Tourney, 25 wings, and game night on Tuesdays. Rockin'!

Despite the crowd, I had no trouble ordering drinks, and several of them at a that, from the attentive bartender. In other words, I didn't have to wait/get trampled/take off my shirt to get his attention when I wanted to order.

So one of the employees came up to us later, and asked what was going on, since we had all the cakes. I told him we were celebrating a birthday, and before I knew it, we had a round of shots for the group of us, on the house!

I talked to him for a while, only to find out he's the owner, originally from Illinois - hence this being a Bears bar. (Which is totally awesome, by the way.) We talked for a while, and he kept on checking in with us throughout the night. Can we say amazing service?? And from the owner himself?? You can't find that in too many other places, let me tell you.

And just for the record, during the whole evening, I made no mention that I was a Yelper, so it wasn't like he was just trying to suck up to us for a good Yelp rating - and yes, I've seen this happen at businesses before where I've told them off the bat that I found them through Yelp.

Needless to say, I am a huge fan, and you bet I'll be coming back here.

eh...
Came here with some friends the other night. They all needed to eat dinner still so we decided to come here to grab some food and a beer.
We each had a Budlight and it was 4 bucks which is kind of a lot for PB... oh well. Someone ordered a Jack and Coke and he said it was bad. The food was decent. They have thick-cut fries and the chicken strips were tasty.
The service was a little slow. I had to ask multiple times for water, but it was kinda busy so I'll let it slide.
Some of my friends were very excited about the Chicago-style cuisine and they seemed to enjoy their food.
I probably wouldn't come back unless someone got me drunk and took me there.

We came here last night for a little pre-drinking. They had live karaoke which seemed pretty cool. It gives the singers the impression that they're really part of the band. There were some really great singers and your classic too drunk to even stand up straight on stage singers. It was fun and the band plays current hits as well as some classic tunes. They don't duplicate songs so if there is a song you'd like to sing you must jump on it. Some people were totally into it. I was mostly there just to people watch and this a great event for that. The band guys are really cool and funny. I wish I could say that about the staff. They're not too friendly but not quite on the rude side either.

The beer and drinks aren't cheap. No drink specials that I knew of. I did hear a commercial though advertising that they had 25 cent wings on Tuesdays. This place is really a 3 stars but I had to dock a star for using plastic cups that look like glass cups. Not cool! Doesn't keep your beer cold or anything!

In theory, having 25 cent wings and a free play pool table with decent cues here on Tuesdays should be a good time. However, with the only drink discount being $8 pitchers of crappy beer, it's not much of a Tuesday special. Being "games night" on Tuesday is still pretty fun though, as our hero enjoys toppling Jenga stacks, sinking your battleships, and playing Connect 4 at the bar.

As a bar, it's a nice place with lots of events every week and concerts now and then from small acts. It's also got an enviable location right next to the PB pier. It really fails at food and mixed drinks though. The wings vary too much in size, taste, texture, and moisture even within the same batch (and don't even talk about day to day inconsistencies in their wings, which can either be super sauced up and thick, or bone dry and chewy depending on which day of the week you go). The fries really suck too, especially if you get "everything on them", which means they will be drowned with so much cheese that they will not even taste like potatoes anymore. Mixed drinks taste sort of weak and at $8 a pop for long islands that don't get you buzzed after two of them, it's probably a good idea to stick to the beers.

Thinking about it, if you took away the food and drinks, 710 might be an okay joint. But then... what kind of a bar would that be?

PROS:
- Cheap and fun times on Tuesdays for Game Night and quarter wings.

CONS:
- Bad food, even for bar food standards.
- The table tops here are tiny. It's impossible for 3 or more people to eat their meals simultaneously off the same round table.
- The glasses here are all plastic, and they come wet like they were removed from the dishwasher 5 minutes ago.
- Live bands play at seemingly random nights, which leads to a cover charge on very unpredictable times.

This joint really gets three stars, but the extra one was for the cleanliness of the women's restroom all night. They only have two stalls, but I was surprised at how immaculate it was throughout the night. I know, I've come to appreciate the little things in life!

Cover was $8 bucks, my bad for not getting on the band's guest list, but I'll keep that in mind the next time I want to rock out to the islander beats of Pau Hana. My Absolut Mandarin & 7-Up was $6 bucks a pop and the bartender boy that helped me all night was very friendly and checked up on my group of friends often. They also have the beer I like drinking sometimes on tap, so that was a plus.

Would I go back? Sure! It's not that big of a venue and it got hot in there, but I had a good time regardless. That huge projector screen above the bar was helpful for those that couldn't see the band on stage. The dance floor is not that big so you'll find a group of peeps just standing around to listen to the band versus shaking their booty off. I believe in no parking on the dance floor, so I had to oblige and do what was best, even though I might not be very good at it...HA! =P

The 710 Beach Club is an awesome little joint in Pacific Beach. I was invited by a friend that ended up not being able to find a babysitter but I rolled solo because I heard that it was cool and I wanted to start the weekend early on this Thursday night.

I got there around 10:30 or so and the place was poppin', I immediately noticed a live band karaoke jam session goin' on and that sparked my interest. I caught the end of a small contest and the audience was in good judgement picking the winner.

I got a drink and continued enjoying the show. It was any body's mike within the song list that the band played and there were some talented peeps rockin' out like they were on American Idol.

I decided I'd have some fun myself and get onstage to live out my rock n roll fantasy, I picked The Love Shack by the B-52's and invited a random lady to join me, she happily obliged. I riled the crowd up a little and we rocked the house! It was a lot of fun and we got some high fives on exiting the stage.

The night went on and it was cool, only the chick that I met seemed to have some roommate drama or something and seemed to lose her personality as her friend left abruptly, I soon became tired of the dead air after attempting to engage her in friendly conversation and split to go mingle with the people that were having fun.

The place died down a bit after 1:00 or so when the band stopped playing so I cut out, but overall it was a cool little spot and I had a good time. I left out the door as the chick went to the restroom to avoid that sometimes dreadful weird goodbye you encounter when one person thinks the other is totally lame after getting to know them even after an hour. This was that encounter, so I slipped out the backdoor so-to-speak.

So if you like karaoke and you wanna just have a fun time check this place out. Tell them Joser sent ya! j/k thanks for reading my review and enjoy San Diego!
