From the street, I wondered if this place was even open. Yelp said it was, and since I put all my faith in Yelp these days, we decided to wander in.
You're greeted by the typical bowling alley smell- I'm not sure if that's the shoes or the oil, or just the general must that comes from old carpet at a bowling alley. It wasn't an awful smell by any means - just the familiar smell of an old bowling alley. We went to the cashier, got our shoes, and he said we could pay at the end of the session. At $4 per game, we knew we would be here for a while.
The lanes are well kept and the shoes are not in bad shape at all. There are plenty of loaner balls in case you're not a pro. There are new flatscreen TVs for scoring, and the control panel is relatively easy to manuever. The tables look a little rickety, but they held our $8 pitcher of beer really well.
Happy hour is 3-7 Mon-Friday. Good deals on drinks. Not so sure about the food... but the place looked clean enough.
I doubt we'll ever be back in Canton, but for those of you who end up here and need some time at the lanes, I would highly recommend this place.
