Officially my new favorite pizza place in Valatie. Â I called on a Friday night about a half hour before closing. Â The girl who answered couldn't have been nicer. Â She answered all my questions and told me the many daily specials. Â I chose the one-topping pie and 12 wing special -- nineteen dollars and change. Â My order was delivered about 25 minutes later, as hot as if I had pulled it out of the oven myself. Â The pizza was excellent.. Â The crust was perfect -- a nice crispness to the bottom and thin but not too thin. Â It easily held up to the generous topping of cheese and mushrooms. Â I'm not sure if the delicious garlic flavor came from the crust or the sauce (or both!) but it really set the pizza apart from the others in town. Â There are many places to get pizza in Valatie, but as long as AJ's keeps up the same quality of service and product, they'll have a loyal customer in me!
Review Source:Average Pizza at best. Ordered a few piesby phone on Super Bowl Sunday and they were out of Pepperoni...really...on Super Bowl Sunday? Went to pick up order and saw signs for a two medium pie special which was not communicated to us when we called in. Two pies and some soda...$32.00...WOW
Not our first choice for pizza in this area
Great place for pizza and wings in Valatie! Â Recently opened, previously Zia's Pizza. Â AJ's is good place for lunch, since Mark's Pizza a few doors down isn't open until 4. Â The pizza slices are huge and decent, and reminds me of pizza I used to have back in the Bronx. Â But the wings...! Jeff, the owner, makes them exactly how I like it: jumbo-sized wings, deep-fried then sauced, with your choice of the usual sauces.
It's another great place in town to make it a regular stop.
