Angelina's Italian Cuisine

It always amazes me that there a re so many great restaurants on Long Island and Angelina's is no exception. After a long day of work for both of us, the mad Russian and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time- mostly for its proximity to home. I commented to the hostess and to my date several times that although it's in a strip mall, you would never know it. Once inside, the decor makes you feel that you're in a stand alone building- no small feat in my eyes. Even on a Wednesday night the place was pretty full. Service came immediately and bread and water were promptly administered. A prosecco for her and a nice table red for me and we were off to enjoying a great meal. An appetizer that was on another table but not on the menu caught our eye and after the inquiry, a fresh and cold seafood salad was produced and devoured. The stuffed artichoke was good but not the best we've eaten on the island. Since we are prone to try several items off the app menu to get a feel for a new place, we kept the menu in case we wanted anything else. However, between the apps listed and the clams casino, neither of us had room for even the many homemade desserts that looked so tempting. A cappuccino and an espresso and you could stick a fork in us. Let me say this--- we are fans of eating at many fine places in the area, but we are sure to come back here on a great many nights to come. Service was friendly and top notch.

Guaranteed great Italian food.  The waiters are extremely helpful and practice excellent customer service. You can always tell a great restaurant by the amount of "regulars" that come in, and Angelina's has a lot! As far as other commenters complaining about the price, if you want a $19 Italian dinner for two, check out Olive Garden on Old Country Rd.  The rest of us will rely on Angelina's.

The best Italian food around.  Prices may be a little above average but why wouldn't you pay up for quality.  have the polenta sausage and broccoli rabe appetizer, really good.  Staff is friendly and you are never rushed.  I keep going back.
