Saggio Pizzeria

The pizza is fresh and good. The crust was a little too fluffy, for me. Toppings were fresh. My family and I ordered a 16" pizza -- half white and half margherita. Excellent.

Upon first walking in I noticed a gelato stand to the right by the cashier... definitely going to taste some next time. It looked amazing, that which was left of it! And at the back end they have another display case for desserts. Everything there: cakes and cookies are brought in from another source. They are NOT made there, EXCEPT for their TIRAMISU - which I have yet to try as well.

There's plenty of parking at the shopping center during the evening. During the day, it's probable too - but on a weekend, I'd assume that it would be more packed and more difficult to find parking there. There is some off street parking, and it's close to a residential community... so I'm more than certain one could find additional parking there too.

The cookies (rainbow cookies, specifically,) are EXPENSIVE! First off, they're ordered from some other bakery which heightens the cost. And, they're tasty - yes, but they're also refrigerated... let the coolness wear off a bit, and then the flavor will really be nice. 3 small cookies for $2.50. Everywhere else I've been... I can get 3 cookies for $1.00.

The place looked clean. The workers/staff/chefs were all very friendly and kind. They had some Latina music from J. Alvarez playing in the background when I was there... I think that was the kitchen music for the workers. But, I love that music, so I didn't really pay attention to what else might have been playing for the customers.

I'll definitely go back, and as I try more things - I'll try to keep this updated. :)

Despite my thirty plus year allegiance to Mario's I can give credit where credit is due and Saggio gets credit. They have delicious pizza ranging from what you crave when you just want pizza to more exciting interpretations of New York's favorite food. My favorite thing about Saggio? They have a consistently good crust.

Perfect for lunch, dinner or just because you want some good pizza.
