Well first of all the town of Locust Valley is a beautiful town and has everything you need in a compact area, if you are unfamiliar with the area it is one of the more wealthier towns in the country (yeah... country) .
Happening Health is obviously geared towards the health conscious, and for that I respect it. I hold a very grim outlook on America and its people due to the obesity epidemic. Simply put, there needs to be more places like Happening Health around. It is a shame that healthy organic food is now what we must pay a premium for, this does not make any sense to me but that is another story.
The Pros:
+ Great menu (salads, wraps, juices, smoothies)
+ Very nice and comfy looking place
+ Pretty good food and juice
The Cons:
- Expensive
- More wrap in my wrap than meat if you know what I mean
- The small juice is SMALL
The Bottom Line:
Seems as if Happening Health is still working out kinks (new employees) but if you are looking for a nice well rounded meal and don't mind paying a premium, Happening Health has you covered. Not sure if I can continue to come back as often as i'd like because I paid 15 bucks for a small juice and a wrap, this may have to do with the location as well.
Very overpriced for tiny portions of not-that-great food. Â a 10-oz fruit juice is $5.50 and a 16 oz is $6.50. Â Tiny salads without meat start at $6.50. Â Employees are frazzled, unfriendly, and didn't seem to want me to dine in even though they have tables set up for people to eat there. Â Overall, I was misadvised to eat here.
