One question...why aren't more yelpers reviewing this awesome attraction? I know its sorta off the beaten path, but c'mon guys...this is a star attraction of Long Island. I've been hearing about it for years so I finally decided to make the trek up to this gold coast haunt.
For the price of $13 it beats the bejesus out of bayville scream park and it more entertaining and scarier. The staff is extremely friendly, you will get touched even though you aren't forewarned.
The props are so realistic and vary vastly, a lot of time and care has gone into this, they really should be charging more, but it all goes to charity so when I bought 2 tickets I told them to keep the four dollars change from the $30 I gave.
I hope I can return with more friends before the season is through. Its really worth the effort to go out there.
This place is no joke. Â The fire department works on this year-round, and there are professional-grade technology and makeup artists that prepare the "monsters" nightly. Â Monsters are all volunteers, and all proceeds go to the firehouse. Â Scare tactics are used while people wait on line, not just inside the haunted house. Â I've walked through this as a volunteer monster, with the lights on, knowing the secrets, and it still creeped me out!
There are moving floors, stairs, strobe lights, and tight spaces - if you are prone to falling, this is not the place for you.
after seeing the long lines at Bayville screampark my friend insisted we go here instead. I love haunted houses and have been to some of the best in the country so I was skeptical. $13, at a firehouse, didn't sound good to me. but I went anyway and was so surprised. it was amazing! couldn't even believe it was only $13 and in a firehouse! they do an excellent job. I loved it. we all had so much fun. very happy I went.
