Anton's Coffee Shop

This was a great breakfast! It's hard to find good breakfast places and this is definitely one of them. It's nothing fancy, but I'll take good food over decor any day. I had a bacon and cheese omelet and it was delish. I went ahead and gorged and got the biscuits and gravy instead of toast and it was great. I couldn't finish all the food. It really stinks that they don't take debit/credit cards. They are going to have to update to modern times on that.

Kitschy decor (think white trash pack rat) lines the walls and shelves.  Food ranges from okay to really good (if you eat here I highly recommend the Scrambled Eggs Anton), and the service is adequate and attentive enough.

Middle of the road, but still a pretty good breakfast stop for the Springfield area.

I run a local B&B, but when I can get away from making breakfasts, I often come to Anton's. I love the atmosphere, employees, and enjoy talking to Anton. And the food is wonderful. Hands down, the best omelets in town. Thanks Anton!
