They advertise having hand-picked, fresh ingredients, along with making their own soups and sauces.. And the food does taste fresh and authentic. I got the spicy chicken teriyaki. It was excellent: very spicy and loaded with vegetables. The wasabi cucumbers they bring to your table as a free appetizer are really good also.

Unless you're ordering sushi skip this place, the sushi is average and since the new owners came in the quality of the menu items has gone down.

Extensive menu and super fresh ingredients! Tried three different rolls and all were wonderful. The wasabi cucumbers they brought to the table were awesome. Laid back atmosphere, private booths - try Wayo! Not as flashy as other sushi places in Springfield but I think flavor is better!
