Drove past this place about a week ago and got really excited. I moved to Springfield about 10 year ago from New York and I've missed having easily accessible Lebanese food. Decided to give it a try tonight.
My roommate has never had Lebanese before so I decided to grab the quintessentials. Falafel, beef kabob, lamb kabob, baba ganouj, and tabouli. Like other reviewers the owners gave me some freshly cooked falafel to snack on while I waited for my order to finish up. It wasn't much of a wait though, even with someone else ordering before me I had my food freshly cooked, wrapped up, and in my hands in about 7 minutes.
My one gripe (this is sarcasm btw), they saw I brought my dog and told me I had to give one of the free falafels to him (I don't think I've ever seen him eat something that fast). It's the little things like this that go a long way for me: the owners are incredibly nice, their kids are adorable (they were running and playing near the truck).
Got the food home, it was a little cold after the drive (foil instead of paper would go a long way) but still unbelievably delicious. Some of the best I've ever had and very authentic.
My roommate loved it as well; I cannot recommend That Lebanese Place enough.
Delicious, authentic, and very friendly. Â You have to try the kebabs here they are so good. There is a little bit of a wait because they cook it all fresh right there. Â So worth the wait! Â Make sure to bring cash as they don't currently accept cards. Â Located at glenstone and chestnut.
