A good old shoutout to management of this restaurant for allowing my Boy Scouts troop to have our fundraiser here. The chefs were in the kitchen putting out food for us with no problems, and the owner (or manager?) was busy helping out the scouts to serve their families. A fine staff!
Review Source:Anthonese S was nice but slow. It took forever to get drinks and food. The food itself was good. I love the two for twenty deal that my friend and I were able to share. Everything was hot when it came out which is good. But let's face its, it's Applebee's this is not four or five star cuisine.
Review Source:Typical Apple Bee's. So-so service. So-so food. 1/2 price appetizers -- specifically the quesadilla is always great on a late-night dinner/snack. The 2-for 1 drink specials on late nights suck.. waste of $, very weak drinks. But I guess that's typical of all of their drinks. And that sums up this Apple Bee's location.

Standard Applebee's, plenty of parking. Always presentable, nice and clean. Service is great most of the time, every now and then you get the lazy "I don't want to be at work" type waiter/waitress. We have waited a while for our food here. Sometimes the manager comes over to ask how our dinner was, that's very nice of you sir!
Food: lets start with the apps, as most of us do. My fave classic app are the boneless bbq wings....bbq sauce on these bite sides pieces of white meat chicken is super good! New fave app, grilled chicken wonton tacos, chicken taco in a wonton shell topped with slaw and cilantro....yummalious! These are my faves, but they have lots of yummy stuff like spinach and artichoke dip, potato twisters, and steak quesadillas towers. Moving on to dinner, always good, I usually get the fiesta lime chicken, tangy chicken served with tortilla strips, pico de gallo, and rice, so fresh, so flavorful, so good! I also like the zesty roma chicken and shrimp and the napa chicken and portabellas, both are really good! My honey will get steak or a burger from them and he is never disappointed.
Dessert: 3 words for you....Triple Chocolate Meltdown, chocolate caked with fudge in the center, topped with hot fudge and a side of vanilla ice cream....back away folks...this could be dangerous!!!
I love that applebee's has a weight watchers menu and a under 550 calories menu, think that's a really cool option.
Price is reasonable, they have 2 for $20 menu that is great!!

You must think that I am insane, writing a 4 star review for the Applebee's, but we have received such an amazing service from the waiter named Chris that I had to write the review. Â With so many options in Long Island, 3 hungry kids screaming for Applebee's took precedence, so here we were, not expecting much, prepared to dread the experience, and then Chris made our evening. Â He was very friendly, everything was served promptly, the plates were taken away right after we finished what was on them, the drinks were refilled for the kids gazillion times, overall, a very nice, relaxing meal. Â We left him a nice top and kids were so impressed with the service, they added a couple of bucks from their allowance :-). Â I guess in the world of the chain restaurants where the food is pretty standard, it's the service that makes all the difference.
Review Source:While I have definitely had good and bad service at Applebee's before, this trip was pretty bad.
We were visiting my brother that goes to school in NY, and decided to go to Applebee's for lunch. Seemed like it would be a decent choice on a Monday afternoon. Not. While it was Presidents' day, and people were off, it should not have taken nearly as long as it did to get our food. Â
We got seated around 12:45 pm, and our food came out at about 2pm. Three out of the five of us got the soup and salad/entree lunch special. It's Applebee's, it's not like they are cooking the food fresh!
While we are assuming that our order was misplaced or something happened, because without having to be asked, the manager came to our table and comped the entire meal before the food FINALLY came out. While I applaud her handling of the situation, the waitstaff was barely ever seen, and they were pretty indifferent to the situation.
My favorite part of the whole ordeal was when the waitress was prompted with the question of the soup of the day, and she responded by reading all of the regular soup choices and chili. Â
I would suggest to not order the French onion soup, as it tasted pretty weird, and the Lemon Shrimp choice for the lunch was nothing to write home about. I will just stick with my usual after 9 trips to Applebee's for their Pomegranate Perfect Margarita and boneless wings.
My cousin and I went here after a 10 hour shopping mission in Roosevelt Field and I was pleasantly surprised. We only waited about 2 minutes for a table and we were promptly seated. The restaurant had the typical Applebee's decor. Â Nothing special. Â Basketball was on every screen. Â We arrived just in time because right behind us was a rush of teenagers. Â
But let's get down to business here. The waitress was very attentive and quick. Definitely on top of her game. Â We ordered a red apple sangria to share (buy 1, get 1) and 4 appetizers. Â After 10 PM is half price! Â That's right, half price! Â We never see any need to set foot in an Applebee's before then.
So for the appetizers, the green beans were really good. Â They came with a yummy dipping sauce. Â They were crispy and hot. Â We got the regular boneless buffalo wings. Â Always a hit. Â We also ordered mozzarella sticks and the beer battered pretzels which came with a cheesy sauce and spicy mustard. The pretzels were my least favorite. Â
The bill for the two of us came to about $25 which was fabulous. This is an okay location in my book.
had a bad experience at another applebees that i swore i would never dine in one again,,BUT 2 months ago, my boyfriend convinced me to go to this particular one,,,boy was i impressed,,,my waiter was awesome (VermonM.)...he was very attentive to us....great personality,,,drinks were great ....not to mention the food was also great,,,i truelly expected the worse..but i would have to say our waiter made my experience there great..i would come back to this particular restaurant...
Review Source:OMG! Can there be a worse Applebee's than this one?  Seriuosly, bad, slow service, rude host and leaky ceilings!!  Servers/waiters must all be in training! I asked a worker who walked by a question and she told me she had no idea! Are u kidding me? Ask ur manager, who was no where to be found. Server brought me  2 wrong desserts. I specifically ordered 2 Kids Oreo cookie sundaes from the kids menu. Server brings me 2 full size chocolate cookie desserts that 6 people could of eaten. It was only my two kids and I. When I told her this is not what I ordered, she said " well thats why I asked u if u wanted 2 cookie sundaes?" Really? WTF? Trying to blame the customer for her own mistake!  I felt bad and told her to return one of them and that we would share one. I figured she wouldn't charge me the 6.95 and only charge me for the 2.49 sundaes I had originally ordered.... But NO! She tacked it on the bill! And to top it all off, after she wrapped my food and gave me the bill, she disappeared for 20 mins! I had to give another waitress my payment. It was only 12:30 for lunch, the place wasn't that busy yet. Get it together Applebee's! I will eat lunch elsewhere from now on. That kind of service is reflected in the tip!!
Review Source:Waited 10 minutes at the host stand when the restaurant was more than half empty. Â When we were finally seated we had to wait again for the waiter to notice us, and when he did he tried to get someone else to take the table so we had to wait again!!! Â The food was the same as always, but again we had to wait a while...and then we had to wait for the check, and to get my credit card back after paying. Â I did not see a manager on the floor or I would have asked what the hold up was. Â Keep in mind this was on a Wednesday night around 10pm!!

Not sure why anybody is a fan of Applebees. This particular one was better than the others, earning it 2 stars instead of 1.... which by Applebees standards is like a 5 star rating lol

Saturday night I decided to go to Applebee's for a late meal. We haven't been here in months because we are vegetarians and they have a sampler platter that has chicken on it. We ask that they substitute onion rings for the chicken and that's it. We are told by waiter after waiter that we can't do this after we had already spoken to the manager, explained our position that we are asking for a substitution that will save the company money yet achieive our dietary objective, and then got it cleared from the manager. (supposedly for all future visits).
Tonight was no different. The waitress gave us the stock lines usually given and went back to check if this was ok and again got it approved. Then we placed a drink order. She returned with our drinks and then we didn't see her for a good while. When she finally returned, she took our order for dinner. Â
One of the staff members brought our our appetizer and we asked the waitress that brought the appetizers if we could have another drink (the drink ordered did not match what we asked for). My wife saw her tell our original waitress about our drink order and walk away. A good long time later (we had finished our meal), we finally got a drink from our original waitress which was AGAIN WRONG!
It seems the staff is not well managed at this Applebee's. We overheard (and it wasn't hard) very inappropriate conversations being had by employees with customers right there. They were so focused on their conversations that service was not being given.
We made a mistake and plan not to make this mistake again. We usually give a good tip to our server, however this young lady was so inattentive that we decided to leave $1.00 and a note regarding her terrible service.
I think this will be my last visit to Applebee's. I will know for sure after I write a letter to the Corporate Office. Avoid this one folks.
I usually go to the Applebees in New Hyde Park which we love but as we were in the Westbury area we decided to go here! BIG mistake. Our server had one arm and hand in a brace and appeared to be on something! In fact she kept telling everyone that she was "out of it". Â She messed up everyone's orders, and kept forgetting what they ordered. The couple at the next table were still waiting for dinner when she asked them if they wanted dessert. When we finally got our check, she again lost the bill and couldn't find our credit card. When I told her I wanted the manager she offered me $10 of her tip money as a bribe!!!! Never again!!!
Review Source:Went here for dinner this evening only cause my wife had a gift card. Â Waiter was just in deep space, simply overwelmed! Â I usually tip 25% on good service and 30% on great service.....he got 15% and only cause he had my sons name...lol. Â really! Â Food was exactly what you expect from an applebees....Ahh. Â not really a fan.
Review Source:To me Applebees everywhere are the same, and that is part of the reason for the 2 star rating. I ordered the Bacon Firepit burger or something like that the name escapes me but anyway the burger wasn't bad but I just never end up feeling satisfied with any burger from applebees, mainly because they feel the need to pile on everything they can on the burger making it more difficult to enjoy. I had also tried these wonton taco things, not good at all. I just don't know what it was but they were not good. The appetizer sampler was fine no complaints. Service was good, polite waitress but other than that I will try my hardest to avoid applebees.
