I only went here because my Aunt is on Weight Watchers and wanted to treat me to dinner... (I was trying not to have a temper tantrum and whine)...
Our waitress, Angela was kind of detached and a little brash.. She had the attitude like: "I don't want to be here, so I'm just going to be in a bad mood"
We ordered the Spinach and Arichoke Dip app, which was really good...Alot of the tortilla chips were crushed and/or broken, which was a bummer...
I wanted something more substantial and what they used to have that I did like is no longer on the menu. Â Literally 90% of their new menu is shrimp...we are both h orribly allergic, so we didn't have many choices outside of fried food...I ended up ordering chicken fingers and fries...I felt like a little kid...and they werent good at all...the grease was old...and the fries were oversalted...I was so upset and left hungry...
I walked in from work the other day and I was starving. Â I went for a bike ride on my lunch break earlier in the day and it took a lot out of me. Â When I walked in my house, I told my wife I was hungry and she handed me a white to-go container. Â I opened it and it was a salad.
I was thinking, cool! Â It had dressing on it already so I immediately took a bite. Â It was delicious! Â I loved it! Â My wife told me it was a salad from Applebee's. Â I said, "Well, what kind of salad is it?" Â It turned out to be an Oriental Chicken salad. Â It had almonds, lettuce, delicious dressing, red cabbage, shoe string carrot strips, little bits of chicken, and lots of other tasty items.
It was really an awesome salad. Â It was so good that I decided to write a review on Yelp! just for the salad. Â Four stars for the salad, but I normally would not give Applebee's four stars.
Yum!
