Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar

I havn't been to this Applebee's in about 3 years.  In general, I'm just not a big fan of their food.

But, I was given a gift card and decided to give it another try.

Well, I ordered the 9oz sirloin, medium rare, with mashed potatos and steamed vegetables.  I also added garlic mushrooms.  Notice the word plural of mushroom.

The steak was cooked accurately.  So that was a positive.  But it was VERY heavily salted.  I have never been served mashed potatos in the small quantity as I was served here.  The steamed vegies look like they had been steamed twice.  Maybe once yesterday and once today. The mushrooms were actually 1 mushroom cut very finely.  It was $1.49 for one mushroom.  Hmmm...

Not the best results.  Their kitchen really needs some help.

The service however was great, my server had my tea refilled before I thought of it.

Now what do I do with the rest of my gift card.  If I go back I will not reorder what I had this time.

Food is what you expect however the bar and kitchen is terribly slow regardless of busyness

Service was amazing. Our server Jesse was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was right on it without badgering us and was nice to our baby :). Will definitely be back!
