It wasn't bad, but there wasn't anything to really be impressed about either. Â We ordered the beef carpaccio with goat cheese as the appetizer. Â The presentation was very nice, but the flavor very bland. Â I had the special for dinner, which were scallops over mushroom risotto. Â The scallops we a smidge underdone without any browning on them, but they were close enough to done that I ate them. The risotto had an excellent flavor, but it was also slightly underdone. Â Had my group and I not been in a hurry to get to a show, I would have sent it back.
The service was very friendly and fast, which is always a huge plus for me. Â The server was also very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Â
I'd be willing to go there again and give them another try, every restaurant has an off night every so often.
What awful service. Â Given that we came during a period that there was a street festival going on but it seemed as if they were short staffed and ill-prepared. Â We had to flag down the server several times who kept forgetting to bring us whatever we requested, from ketchup to silverware. Â The hostess was more helpful than our actual server as we had to go and chase down someone to help us out.
The food was ok. Â Nothing worth going out of your way for.
First time dining at Arcadia. Since they're known for their beef I ordered the filet. I was a bit underwhelmed as It was a bit on the dry side though it was ordered medium rare. The a la carte sides (broccoli rabe and potato au gratin) were very small for the price. The deviled eggs were great and others at my table enjoyed the lobster bisque. Â If I returned, I would order something other than the filet.
