The food was good! My friends and I started with their 'triple dipper', where you pick 3 appetizers. I let my friends choose. They were okay, but tasted frozen. I ordered the medianoche, similar to a traditional Cuban sandwich with the addition of sliced roast pork. It was a little dry, but tasted yummy and the tostones were awesome. The yucca with mojo my friend had as a side was killer!! For dessert I had the tres leches cake (very good) and a café con leche (one of the best I've ever had!). The only qualms I had were the fly that was more attentive than our server (who was good), and the deafening Phil Collins album they began to play towards the end of our meal.... Don't get me wrong, I like Phil Collins but I would still like to hear my friends talk! I won't rush back, but I would definitely give the place another try
Review Source:I would have given you 5 stars Kenn-Tico if your bartender spent less time hitting on ladies and more time making my dirty martini! Â
Our server (Marco?) was fantastic! Â He was on point and gave us some awesome suggestions for what to order. Â We started with the appetizer sampler (I'm sure that's not the official name, but you get the point) - it was a great way to find out what you want to order on your next trip in.
We were advised that the black bean soup was not the way to go on Friday (I guess there are more beans in the soup on Friday), but I rebelled anyway. Â I just can't get into plantains and that occupied about 70% of the alternative sides. Â The soup was good, but the salmon was delicious (I was also a couple martinis in at this point, so "delicious" was a bench mark much more attainable). Â Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal as we have discussed going back. Â I'm not sure that this is where I would go for dinner if I had a choice, but it's perfect for happy hour!
That extra star is for our server. Â Excellent customer service is hard to find!
