So, I just gave Azteca their last chance. This was the sixth time my wife and I have given this place a chance to impress! Don't get me wrong, the décor is great and the food outstanding, but everything else is an exhausting drag. On prior visits the only way to get good service is to eat their at lunch time and even then plan on a wait. We learned the hard way two visits ago to never show up to this place without a reservation in the evening. When we arrived two visits ago, we were strung along with promises of table availability for over a hour. After almost a hour and a half of waiting in the bar, we were told that most of the restaurant had been reserved for the night and they were not sure when a table would be available. Last night was my 50TH birthday party at Azteca. I made a reservation for 12 people THREE WEEKS in advance for 6PM. I even stopped by a week ago to verify the reservation was on the books. When we arrived there was two tables set up that would sit 10 people at most! When I brought this fact to the attention of the staff, I was told the tables would sit 12 people. I'm not sure in what universe 12 people would fit at that table, but not in my world! Eventually I was offered an extra table away from our group that ended up sitting four of our guest away from the main table.
Once seated, it took over 20 minutes before we were offered drinks and 40 minutes before our order was taken. See with large groups the 18% gratuity in automatically added to the bill, so why would staff need to impress, right! Â Almost a hour and a half after we arrived and three visits by me to the staff we finally received our food. That is everyone but my wife, which then took another 15 minutes to receive here dinner. We had to constantly ask staff for drink refills, napkins, silverware. I spent way to much time of my own birthday party chasing service staff around with request, especially when our final tab was nearly $400.00! Our entire dining evening took 4 hours to complete! This will be our last visit to Azteca for quite some time or maybe forever. So if you decide to eat here be warned. Don't be in any kind of a rush or plan on great service!
My Husband & I LOOOOVE this place!! The food is great, the entertainment is fantastic & the service is wonderful!
The drinks during happy hour are way cheap. Love Love Love!
I love all of the Elvis product EVERYWHERE!!!
Date night tomorrow & we will be here! The car shows Friday nights are also a PLUS!!
A great friend of mine recommended me to this place cause we're both Elvis Presley fans and said it's his themed restaurant and lot of fun and good food and she's right! Â This is the next best thing as being at Graceland or Vegas! Â Almost all there is Elvis memorabilia (one of the statues is also at a restaurant called Peggy Sue's) along with some Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, a couple Tom Jones, Priscilla and Lisa Marie and more.. There is some TV's with the sports and others with Elvis movie clips (I'm a rookie EP/ETA fan and haven't seen any of his movies yet.)!
I went inside during their lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, we were seated and given menus. We ordered orders and my friend ordered margarita without salt. Â She ordered the taquitos w/ rice and beans while I ordered the cheese enchilada and tosada combo. Â Food came to us on a very hot plates while we were looking more around the restaurant and took some pictures. Â I enjoyed the food along w/ their chips and salsa. Â
They have Elvis Tribute Artist do live shows every weekend and I hope to come back when they're there. Â Owner is very nice and fun to talked to!
