There are not alot of take out options in town and I thought I would give this place a try. Â I was concerned when I ordered a salad and chicken entree and was told to pick it up in 30-40 minutes. Â Turns out the arugula salad was not bad but the Chicken sorrentino was dry and tasteless. Â It was also not cheap. Will not return again unless for the pizza.
Review Source:This review is based off of one visit hence the 3 stars, but worth it enough for me to put in writing.
The are in general is inundated with pizzarias in my opinion. When I saw yet another one popped up I thought, Oh lordy, more pizza.
One night after training for a bike ride, I decided to stop and take a break here. Â The night was beautiful for outdoor seating and our waiter quickly came to set us up outside. Â We ordered a sicilian pie and boy that thing was huge! Â Just from the looks of it, I can tell you my mouth was watering. Â The thickness of the crust looked perfectly browned and crisp at the edges. Â The sauce peeked just beyond the melted cheese and as you cut into the pie to retrieve a slice, you can see that the pizza is evenly divided between bread/cheese and sauce. A+
As far as taste, I was quite pleased. So much so I ate two and a half slices (squares) myself. Not becuase I was that hungry , simply because it was delicious.
If I ever have a craving for some hot 'za again, I would certainly pass up a few places along the way to stop here.
They also deliver!!! Score
Formerly Angelo's Pizza. They added a brick oven. Great pizza and sandwiches (yet to try their pasta). Loved their eggplant parm (and that's not even my forte). Down to earth owner and staff. Very clean on the inside, virtually new.
Pizza variety: buffalo chicken, salad pizza (yeah sounds interesting but very good) and bbq chicken. Stromboli was money.
