A Toute Heure

We love ATH...farm to table restaurants are everywhere now but this was one of the first ones that I knew of, when they first opened.  Every meal is spectacular and fun.  Always leave happy and feeling chunky--but it's worth it.

It is not as "French" as the name would have you deduce..no matter, they know mussels like no one knows mussels; drink up that broth!

I recently ate at ATH for Saturday lunch.  It was my 4th time here - other meals were all dinners.  Once again, I left greateful for the existence of this lone beacon of good quality and creative food in my area.
A previous reviewer mentioned the suburban foodie wasteland of central-Northern NJ, which is a sad but true phenomenon.  I lived my whole life in NYC (Queens, not even Manhattan) and moving to NJ was a culinary downgrade, to say the least.  
This is the place that will restore your faith in food in NJ.  Sad that there aren't more like it, but it is what it is.  
I highly recommend the Kara's Mussel Pot, and pretty much anything on the menu.  My party of 5 all enjoyed their entrees, and this was a very picky bunch.  Excellent scallops, braised pork and tripe, and my fish of the day entree was amazing.  Dessert was apple tart with roasted almond ice cream and chocolate flourless cake.  These may sound boring but the execution was absolutely delicious - not too sweet.  Espresso came with lemon rind, which was a nice authentic Italian touch.
