Hate to diss a place that has so much potential, but Cervantes made my partner violently ill about an hour after leaving. Spinach salad had bad, metallic-tasting, spoiled leaves; the olives had a few rotten ones in there; the mixed vegetable side (pisto) was ok, but after a few bites you began to dread the next one; and the shrimp were over-cooked and chewy. The artichoke pizza and wine were delicious and that's why I am not giving it 1 star. Our bill was close to $90 with tip which left us feeling not only ill, but ripped off.
Review Source:Went here on a Friday night w my bff and bitterly regretted not waiting 20 for the seat at the other restaurant one block up. Â FIrst of, the waitstaff took forever to come around to ask for our orders. I'm 8 months pregnant and when Im hungry, Im HUNGRY. However, Im at a point where I cant fit much in my belly anymore, so I order a lobster bisque and a tapa while my friend ordered one of the specials.
The bisque came right away - which kind of sucks because my friend was just there watching. It was THE WORST LOBSTER BISQUE EVER! It was  4 pieces of lobster that looked and tasted awful  (with hard parts in the middle) floating in a very thin broth. Totally not what a lobster bisque is suppose to taste/look like. I had two spoons and gave up on it for the sake of my unborn child. Then, my friends food came with my pequillo relleno, which was ok. When the bill came I was surprised that it ended up being that much for such a mediocre experience. Def not coming back.
