Got the LivingSocial deal for Take or Bake with a bit of skepticism, but if the plan was to lure future purchases by offering a great starting price, they accomplished their goal.
The deal: Â Two pizzas, an order of garlic bread, and an order of cinnamon bread strips for $8
Now, I ordered one pizza baked for ordering and one unbaked for the future. Â The ordered pizza was good, kind of similar in structure to Pizza Hut. Â The unbaked pie looked a lot different than the first one. Â A few days later, I baked it and it was excellent. Â Much better than the first pie (which wasn't bad to begin with).
The cinnamon strips and garlic bread looked exactly the same, but were very tasty.
I'm very frugal, so the price for this offer was a huge factor in me trying Take or Bake out, but the regular price for a pie is like $5. Â Sure, they don't deliver, but $5 for a pie is at least 50 percent less than what you will pay elsewhere. Â I can picture purchasing two pies for $10 and then cooking them when I know I will be having friends over for an event.
Take or Bake has earned future business from me.
