    "Lovely atmosphere and good food"
We had lunch at this beautiful island style restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. We opted not to have drinks although they did look tempting. At our table, we had a turkey burger which came with either a side of tomato salad with basil, fruit, or fries. Others had the 1/2 order of veggie quesadilla and salad, with citrus vinaigrette, and the shrimp and lobster quesadilla. (The shrimp and lobster quesadilla was tasty but had very little seafood in it.) On the covered patio, with fans, the steel band was setting up to play. The atmosphere was almost like being on a cruise ship, without the seasickness.

It's not so much the service because they are cordial. The problem is the food which is all in all horrible, however their alcoholic beverages are AMAZING!

I really love this place! The decor is really laid back and very islandy(not a word) also the menu selection has something for everyone. The last time I went was for Mother's day and our server was super nice. I will emphasize on our GREAT server because it was one of their busiest days. The Goat/Avocado burger was EXCELLENT and there margaritas are YUMMY! I need to try their happy hour but i'm sure I won't be dissapointed.

I highly recommend their coconut shrimp appetizer. I can eat a whole order myself. I am also a fan of their fish tacos, seafood paella, and avocado and goat cheese burger on a brioche bun. They have fun blended drinks and the food is always good. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the service we had was terrible. We had to ask for silverware 4 times, are waters were always empty, after bringing our appetizers the waitress disappeared for an hour, never even took our dinner orders. When we finally placed our orders and ordered beer refills, they did not come for 30 minutes. It was also very hard to find her or anyone to ask for a check. Another minus to this place is that they do not take reservations, they only take call ahead. It gets very busy here so don't come when you are absolutely starving because no matter what there will be a wait. The food is good here though, and very consistent which I find important, however it's pricey and for that I expect the service to be better. I will come back here, hopefully the service will be better.

So this is an interesting place, lots of drink varieties, all looking quite delicious.
The food was very tasty. I had salmon w/ mango salsa... Although I didn't  see any mangos in my salsa. My friend had the lobster shrimp pasta which was very creamy and flavorful. It also had huge chunks of lobster that were tasting awesome!
The only downturn to it was the service. We had this waiter before and he is just not on point. Took 10 mins to greet us and take drink order, then he put in the order wrong for my type of fish, our food came and we still had no silverware....
Anyways, other then the service, the food is definitely worth checking it out.

oooooo Bahama Breeze, you in trouble now. You pissed my sister off and now ya better watch yo self.

My family ended up at Bahama Breeze to celebrate my bro-in-law's birthday. I am not 100% sure how exactly we ended up here seeing as we have never once as a family dined here before and I can't ever recall my BIL ever mentioning a liking for the place. I myself have never even been to a Bahama Breeze in my life. But alas, he we found ourselves.

Monday night and the place was pretty much dead. Perfect. There is now a baby involved in our family outings.. because my sister birthed one.. so, an empty restaurant is perfect for being seated and waited on right away, plus if my niece decides to grace the airwaves with her baby bellows, then we are only disrupting a handful of people instead of a room full.

Well in this particular circumstance, having literally only 4 filled tables and a virtually empty restaurant was not synonymous with quick service, or attentive service.. or friendly service for that matter.

The first offense was when my dad asked to order one of the burgers, but with chicken instead, like as in, a chicken sandwich. Something my dad has done before when dining at Bahama Breeze during lunch meetings and what have you. Not a tough concept. The waitress kind of made a deal over it though. Instead of just saying okay no problem, she told my dad that they were going to charge him the price of a chicken dish to make up for the substitution in an animal carcass. Because, as she told us, chicken costs them more than meat. It was a minor thing and sure, if chicken costs the restaurant more than meat, then whatever, charge him the extra 2 dollars- but those restaurants partaking in a better business practice would have just done this without making a fuss.

After ordering, our food took 40+ minutes to get to our table. Keep in mind that the restaurant was EMPTY. My 8 month old niece was really well behaved and didn't make a peep. My sister on the other hand, was getting reallly fussy. She was near the point of walking out and  just as she was saying "F*ck this motherf*ucking sh*thole" and packing up.. the food came.

Food=meh. The overall consensus was that it was just alright. Bro in law got the Mahi fish tacos and when asked how they were, he said they were good but his enthusiasm was way underwhelming. Sis said the bun on her burger ... PAUSE...

This reminds me of a really great pickup line that one might use while out at da club. Ready? Here it is:
"Hey baby, wanna make a hamburger? I'll put my meat between your buns."

    annnddd CONTINUE

So my sister said the bun on her burger was really hard (no pun intended) and ended up cutting off the top so as to make it soft enough to bite into. But credit must be payed where it was due and she commented that they got the burger well-done on the first try. This coming from the girl who is already prepared to send a burger back before she even receives it because she can foretell that the meat will be too pink for her liking (no pun intended). Mom and dad both said their burger/chicken sandwich was good, no emphasis on anything extraordinary or underordinary (yup made that up but feel free to use it). I ordered the woodgrill chicken which was decent once I took out some of the arugula that they piled on there like it was expiring that night and they needed me single handedly to finish up the stock. I thought the fries were pretty delish.

Overall, the food was probably pretty good, but the poor service and long wait time put a bad taste in our mouths (pun intended) and cast a shadow on the remainder of the meal. Good thing we had Cold Stone cupcakes to redeem the birthday night.

P.S. no real Bahamiams even work here. Can we say rip off!

I'm giving this establishment a three star only because the service was mediocre. Our lunch consisted of conch fritters, fish tacos with a side salad, and guava ribs. The fritters are amazing! They are juicy with bits of corn in them. The dipping sauce for the fritters was a combo of pineapple and other exotic fruit with a kick of spice. My fish tacos were juicy and had lots of flavor. The ribs were so so. As my wife was eating her mashed potatoes there was a hard piece of something which hurt her tooth. The server was very polite but her barely came to our table. Our appetizer came out after our food, my salad came with no dressing and the server was so busy trying to hook up with another server that if he would have been eat hung his tables I'm sure none of this would have happens.

Our first time at Bahama Breeze was on a Sunday.
We called before going in to check on their closing time and we were told they on Sundays they close at midnight , it was about 10:30 pm .
It was four of us, we ordered a bunch of dessert and each of us had a main course .
The food was fairly good for the price , the service was friendly.
The only thing we did not like is that they "kicked us out" before we even had a chance to order a dessert.
At 11:00 they turned off the music, 11:30 they turned on all the lights, 11:35 the check was on the table.
We did not say anything,  just paid and left, a little disappointed.
I always order dessert after dinner.

Went for happy hour with a friend and spent about $50 for two of us. We had four ultimate pina coladas- which I highly recommend, spinach dip and chips, coconut shrimp, cuban flatbread ( which is not as good as on the cuban bread they used to do) and also chicken sliders.  The chicken sliders, shrimp and drinks were our favorite. We ate outside with the band ( one man and a computer) which was not that good.  We wanted to sit by the firepit but it was closed off for a "party" of which there were only 6 people there. So not sure about that....

we come to this BB a lot. Service has improved, and they added new items to the menu. We love to sit outside, but only when no one is singing ( their entertainment is often not very good and it is way too loud for our taste).
All waiters are nice, but no one beats Greg S. and I highly recommend getting a table on his side.

Bahama breeze, you enter and you feel as if your on an island far away. The drinks are always fruity and the atmosphere always amazing. I like to sit outside they always have a one man bad playing the Best of island vibes. I got for my entree Fresh Pan-Seared Salmon Pasta it was beyond amazing, i got the smaller version which was not small at all because I still was not able to eat it all. Over all a nice experience with nice people and great food!

Bahama Breeze somewhat baffles me.  I really like the atmosphere and the people that work there are friendly and helpful; however, i can't seem to find a dish that I really like there.  i tried their fresh fish the first time and the ribs the second time and neither one was great.  The ribs were too fatty and the meat definitely did not fall off of the bone.  I also don't understand why the entrees came before the appetizers and the waitress acted as if nothing was wrong.  She simply stated that the entrees don't usually come out that fast.  Luckily, we were still able to cancel the appetizers and we ordered dessert instead.  Key lime pie with meringue?  This was a first for me and I have to say it wasn't bad, just not great pie.  My wife ordered the chocolate island and I had a taste and it was much better than my pie.
I probably will go back here b/c I like this location better than the Sawgrass one and I will try and find something that I like.  I just hope that it doesn't take me too many more times to do so.

I love the concept of this restaurant chain!!! Too bad there aren't locations in New York City....Welp, tonight like any other past experience was satisfying. The food was delicious and prepared rather quickly. I had the beef (curried) empanadas and jerk chicken pasta. It's always a great choice for a foodie like myself :-)

We were seated quickly, our server was extremely nice and prompt and the food was all delicious. The coconut onion rings are fantastic, but there was way too many for 2 people- it'd be better split between 3-4 people. My fiancee and I had two different entrees, and both were great, and we had cocktails as well, that were a good balance of strong and tasty- I had the ultimate pina colada and it was seriously one of the best drinks I've ever had, I could've drank 5 of them. For a chain, I love this place.

Hadn't been here in a while. Used to be my go-to spot for girls nite out. Thought we'd go back for one of my favorite cocktails, the Paloma. (side note: I just discovered they offer a skinny Paloma as well).

It was just as I remembered. Good service, live music on the outside patio, yummy drinks AND I loved the stacked jumbo crab stack appetizer.

I wanted to give this place a second chance but it was still a mistake. Their website says they close at 1. We got there at 10:30 and the doors were locked. There was a girl at the counter that saw us and walked away. Another guy came around the deck and told us they were closed. We told him that the website says they close at 1 and he said nothing, just shrugged his shoulders and stood there. Rude people.

This place never seem to amaze me when it comes to sitting at a table. There is always a 15-30 minute wait! Better off sitting at the inside/outside bar.

The coconut shrimp is delish. I always order the Jerk Chicken Pasta, but the one time I switch it up I was disappointed. I had the Fresh Pan-Seared Salmon Pasta, and was it gooey and overloaded with tomatoes. But I will stick to my Jerk Chicken Pasta.

The Jamaican Grilled Jerk Wings looks amazingly tasty!

One place I keep coming back to, because it's consistantly good. Their outside area is beautiful and spacious. They have a guy playing great calypso, reggae, feel-good music, at just the right volume so you can still have a conversation. There are few places around where it is just so easy going and pleasant to sit back and enjoy the music with a cocktail. They have a large fire pit under a gazebo, that I love to cozy up to in cool weather. My favorite time to come here is mid-week, when it's more laid back. Their cocktail selection is also great, and even if you were not planning to drink, you will likely see something you "just have to have". As far as their food, this is not the place for the high end foodie stuff, but I find almost everything I've ever ordered to be good. Their ribs are the best! This is, surprisingly one of my go-to places when I want a nice piece of fish. They have a few fish choices and 4 or 5 different preparation styles, and you match up your perfect combination. I can't think of a better way to order fish. My kids go crazy for their mac and cheese, and I have to admit, I pick at their plates quite a bit! Their Cuban bread appetizer is a dish worth noting. I really don't like when a restaurant does not serve bread complimentary on the table, but this dish helps make that problem all better.

Greeting: After of a couple of minutes trying to identify the hostess we were finally seated.

Service: was prompt, efficient and courteous- our waiter was extremely helpful when recommending dishes.

Food: Arrived pretty quickly- I ordered a Seafood Paella and my friend the Coconut Shrimp- both were delicious and the seafood felt fresh.

Drinks: They have a pretty good selection of cocktails - I got the Bahama Mama which I highly recommend if you like rum based cocktails...my friend had the Pina Colada and went for seconds :)

We went here to celebrate my birthday. It was good. It was very busy on a Saturday. Outside seating is on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The seafood chowder soup was delicious! The jerk chicken pasta (minus the asparagus) was delicious. The Bahamrita (lime, strawberry and mango) was hypnotic. They have a single guy doing covers of your favorite calypso/reggae/Latin music. He was very entertaining. He even played the steel pan. We sat by the open pit fire since it was a little chilly, but it was really good.

Our server wasn't having his best night. But he did try his best to serve us. (So I'll leave his name out)
I really liked it - and so did my family. If we're in the vicinity again, we'll definitely come back.

We didn't sit inside but it was pretty busy in there. Not sure of the benefits of sitting inside. It was loud. They have a chalk board with their specials for the evening.

Not sure if call-ahead seating will even work for you. They give you the little red vibrating buzzer after you've put your name on the list.

We preferred to sit outside and listen to the music.

I havent been here since i was a kid and i remembered it being good. I got a chicken dish that came with a homemade sauce. IT WAS AMAZING! if anything the sauce could have been my meal and i would have been happy

the only thing that bothered me were the portions for the price. If they were to bump up the portions for the money i would go back regularly

I love this place!  I'm a big fan of Bahama Breeze because it has never dissapointed me.

Starting with drinks, you cannot go wrong with the tall ice cold Aruba Red draft that is som yummy and smooth to their Pina Colada with sugarcane juice...

I love the Jerk Shrimp appetizer because I just cannot wait to dunk the loaf of bread all in the sauce that the shrimps swim in!

I recently had one of their specials and it was Shrimp and Grits.  I give them props for their grits because it is mighty creamy and cheesy...ordered an extra side of grits just because it was sooooo good.

I love the Chocolate Island...extra chocolaty and not tooooo overly sweet.

    Will be back!

Bahama Breeze has the best Virgin Pina Colada.

It is the only place in the world where its cool to be a virgin.

That is right I am talking about you, Virgin Pina Colada.

It is oh so good even the male waiter was salivating with me.

    And once it came out......

I made love to those sweet succulent juices.

Sadly "it" only lasted for a minute before it ran dry.

I've grown to really like this Bahama Breeze, especially their Salmon Tostada Salad (hold the cheese and the tostada). Service is always friendly and the drinks are always plentiful. The fish is always fresh, from my experience, and my husband and I always have a good time. It can get a bit crowded at times; so avoid the lunch rush, and you'll be okay.
Being there always makes me feel like I'm on vacation in the keys. So tropical and happy-looking. Makes me wanna go there for lunch today.

Came here last night for a friend's birthday.  what i couldn't understand was why the waiter didn't try to move us, a party of 10 to a bigger table. not only were we cramped, but we were expecting 5 & 1/2 (kiddie) more.  but until they arrived, we ordered our dinner and drinks.  not really sure what the other poster was thinking...saying the drinks are expensive. ummm, i had a Cadillac Margarita for $8 and there were other drinks on the menu that were less than that...and it wasn't even happy hour.

anyway, for dinner, i ordered the fish of the day--sauteed salmon with shimp.  after awhile, the rest of our party showed up and that's when the waiter decided to....actually, scratch that.  the birthday boy asked the hostess if we could switch tables and she said yes.  while this was going on, our waiter came back looking very aggitated that we switched without telling him. wasn't really sure why he thought we needed his permission but after a good 10 minutes of shuffling around, we all finally got seated...and still felt squished.

when the food came, i was starting to understand why the waiter would be aggitated with us.  he had a specific order in his head of where we were sitting and coordinated it with the chefs that came out. but seriously! all he had to do was shout "shrimp pasta" and whoever had the pasta would raise their hand. no big deal!

i really enjoyed my salmon. although a little salty, it was cooked perfectly...not too tender and fishy...and not overdone.  when it was time fot the bill, i was happy to see that our waiter, Greg, had asked us beforehand which checks were to be separated and which ones were to be combined. i HATE how in some restaurants they make it seem like such a chore to separate checks. if he was ab;e to do it with 15 people in our party, anyone should be able to do it.

all in all, i enjoyed myself. there was really great company and my food was enjoyable. can't say the same about others' food, though. one said her jerk chicken had absolutley no spice and the "tangy dipping sauce" was BBQ. REAL bahamian food is chock-full of flavor! we even joked that the kid's menu food looked a lot better than that dry chicken.  but i definitley wouldn't mind coming back ...especially during happy hour.

I laugh at the thought of going to Bahama Breeze.  I've been one time about 8 or 9 years ago and after that experience, I vowed to never return.  I really didn't care to go at all this past weekend, but it was a group function so I bit the bullet.

There is nothing "islandy" about the food at this chain.  Anything with "Jerk" tastes nothing like real jerk seasoning and the rest of the items are barely caribbean-inspired.  Nothing on the menu tastes like it would be made in the caribbean.

Drinks were a joke (a martini made from Malibu rum?  Seriously?).

Service was friendly.....  Yep, that's about it.

I like the theme, the idea behind this restaurant.

    THE FOOD.
Coconut Shrimp: Delicious. Both my hubby and I enjoyed this appetizer.

Jamaican Grilled Chicken Brease: I found the chicken to be pretty tasteless, it tasted, well, like chicken. The jerk seasonings did not come through at all. The mango pineapple salsa was good but not enough on the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were TOO sweet, they tasted too much like cinnamon--I felt like it belonged on the dessert menu.

[description from website] Jerk seasonings, mango glazed, with mango pineapple salsa, cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes, seasonal vegetables.  Lighter portion available.

    THE SERVICE.
Our waiter was very nice and VERY attentive. We loved that. He asked how our food was--each course, appetizer and entree. He asked how our drinks were. He asked if we wanted refills. He refilled our waters without needing to ask him.

Overall, I think the food was good and the prices were reasonable.

I love the decor and the "island" atmosphere. The music is absolutely too loud. The food here is nothing exceptional, just overpriced, Americanized Caribbean food. Not to mention the staff their aren't that friendly. I would say try it once, but I tried it twice and it is just not for me.

What I ate: Jerk Chicken Pasta

This is pretty much your run-of-the-mill restaurant in terms of entree variety, but the portions here are huge!  A friend ordered the paella and by the end of the meal, it didn't even look like he had put a dent in it.  It looked like it could feed 3 people.  I had the smaller portion of the pasta, which I finished, but it felt like the equivalent of regular portions elsewhere.

The service was a little lackluster.  We had to wait a long time before the waiter came by to take our order and a couple times he almost served us drinks that were ordered from a neighboring table.

Well let me say that the first time I moved to South Florida, a friend took me here for dinner, and boy was I impressed.

But since I've been here for awhile, and I've gotten the chance to taste authentic Caribbean food, I realize how washed up the food really is.

Not going to rag on it though.  The Jamaican patties are de-lish, and I always order Havana style tilapia. Also, the drinks are pretty good.

Great for late evening when the band is playing.
