I arrived at this local "Italian" eatery in hopes of home cooked Italian food that I was raised on.. Definitely not. Â First off, we arrived during lunch, and there was no lunch menu or prices. Â Ok, I could deal with that had the food actually tasted good. Â Well, that's when it took a turn for the worse. Â No free garlic rolls or bread?! Eh! Then, what was supposed to be baked clams was just a big clam w/pure bread crumbs and no flavor. Â I ordered stuffed shells as I hadn't had those in years, and it was just covered in a very standard tomato sauce, that looked straight from a jar. Â The ricotta inside was just a big pile of mush and just not appetizing at all.
Review Source:I came La FAmiglia for the first time and am craving to go back .The food, service, and price were all on point.I ate the steak risotto in brown sauce slowly because I didn't want to finish! Garlic rolls were delicious and my lady friend loved her tilapia dish. One suggestion: have a pepper mill and cheese grater for customers, not just shakers. The only down side is that you shouldn't expect an extravagant salad to be served with your meal, but it wasn't bad enough forme to downgrade them one star.
Next time: DESSERT!
An actual Italian restaurant, with Italian waitresses, with Italian people cooking the food...so there is a god.
I have been here many times, and they treat us very well. All of the following dishes are delicious:
Fried Calamari
Bruschetta
Linguine and Clams
Pizza
Garlic Rolls
Salad
Spaghetti
Baked Ziti
Chicken Marsala
Zuppa di pesce
Antipasto
Chicken Parmesan
Did I mention i'm morbidly obese?
