I frequent this one business the most, my wife and I enjoy the atmosphere and shooting pool. The food is typical pub style food and I can't remember the last time I have had a complaint about it which is a good thing. They have recently put down new carpet which is a plus. They have a pretty good beer selection as well which gets a huge thumbs up from me! They do need to do a little repair on their pool tables because they are beginning to show some wear in the felt and leather pockets, chasing a ball or two around the floor is sometimes required when they fall through a broken pocket. My major complaint with the place is the waitresses that work the front pool tables. The ONE waitress that always works the 5 tables and dart boards in the back is amazing, hands down one of the best waitresses in the place and she's been there for years. The last 5 times in a row that we have gotten one of the 7 pool tables in the front section the waitress have been horrible! Even when they aren't busy we have had to wait 20-30 minutes for a waitress to even walk over (yes I started timing them), when you ask what took them so long we have heard everything from "I wasn't paying attention" ... "you snuck in on me" to "I got distracted talking to the other waitresses". Â Yeah, they seem to love to stand at the end of the bar and chatter with each other instead of working their tables! The last time we were there it took 25 minutes for her to come over, then the second time she came back I was shooting pool and had my back to my wife when the waitress walked up to ask if she wanted another drink, my wife said she was good for now and the waitress walked off before I even knew she was there. Well there goes the drink I wanted to get; she didn't even bother to ask me. It was 45 minutes before she came back around again. We had been there over two hours at this point and no, it was not very busy, so I just asked for the check. Waitress came by 3 times in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I mentioned it to the manager before we left and I got "okay, thanks for telling me, which table was it?" as his official response! Not really sure what to think of that.......
Review Source:All of their beer is watered down. It's bad when Guinness is watered down. The atmosphere is okay. If I ever go back it will only be to play pool.
If you order any beer your best bet is getting it in a bottle.
The only reason why I'm not giving it a 1 star is because of the pool tables and openness / brightness of the place.
This place was great. Came here with friends a couple nights before my buddy's wedding. Â They allow you to smoke inside, and no worries if you smoke cigars like me...they are okay with that too. Â Strange that no body under 21 is allowed, manager it was because you can smoke inside..I thought people 18 and up are can smoke. Â Anyway...
We had some apps...fries with chili and cheese was good. Â Fish and chips were great too. Â But had to ask for vinegar. Â Beers were priced well,, Â 4.50$ for yuengling drafts. Â Shots add up pretty quick, but I ordered 9 ($55). Â
They have 6 pool tables, 4 or 5 dart boards (not electric), and even a ping pong table. Â It is like any other pool hall, go to counter and give credit card to play and charged for the time, not the game. Â Lots of televisions. Â We brought some chips and cards and played poker also.
The only thing that was disappointing was that I had to go next door for cigars, oh well. Â I recommend anyone this play. Â Close to ETSU.
this place would be cool if they didn't allow you to smoke inside. its a huge space with pool tables and plenty of screens to watch whatever game is on. service is good. they had good drink specials. don't know if i would come back because i don't like coming home smelling like an ashtray.
