We were excited when we walk in. It was quaint. Â Unfortunately, the rest was awful. Â We ordered an appetizer (atomic shrimp) and after 30 minutes of waiting we asked our server where it was..we think she forgot to put the order in. Â When it did arrive, another 20 min later) we were presented with a tiny piece of shrimp and avocado buried inside a ton of mushy batter. Â Gross. Â I wish we would have stopped there and just left but we had already put in the sushi order. Â We got 2 hand roll that were decent but the rest was over cooked rice and less than fresh fish. Â The spicy tuna on the chernobyl was mashed to bits and had no resemblance left of fish. Â The eel roll was so bad I spit it out and the rock n roll was nothing more than a bland Philly roll. Â When the server came to ask us how it was, we told her what we thought then she actually asked us if we wanted a togo box! Â Needless to say we will not be returning.
Review Source:Banzai is truly the best sushi in Denver. Â Off the beaten path, it's a gem of a neighborhood establishment! Â Service is fast and friendly, however if you arrive at a busy time, then expect busy wait times. Â This place is amazing, and because of that it can get busy at times. Â Great happy hour specials and Sunday is happy hour all day! Â Many rolls to chose from, or special requests to the chef. Â I have been going here for eight years, and my experiences have always been yummy!
Review Source:I simply love this place! Â Tucked into a strip mall type environment on Leetsdale, Banzai Sushi is a great place to get your sushi on! Â I started going there because they always seemed to have a Groupon deal on that was too good to resist. Â Tonight my little group and I tried five different rolls that were all very good. Â We were there during happy hour, where we were also able to try a few appetizers for $3 each--the spicy edamame (great, sweet sauce), the orange chicken age, and the veggie tempura. Â The five rolls we had were the piranha, the funky monkey baby 3, the shake and bake (my favorite), the dynamite california, and the atomic brock. Â All of the sushi tasted fresh, and the rolls were pretty abundant. Â Our server was super attentive and very sweet--I've never had a bad experience when I go there. Â This is a small place, so it's not the best place for a large group get-together, but it's perfect for a small group of four or less. Â Grab a booth, a glass of sake or some of the japanese beer, and enjoy good company (you have to supply that one), good food, and good service.
