Great bar!! The atmosphere is so laid back and chill! Â The fact they have a multi-selection of board games to play with friends or newly met people is a fun and great touch to make this bar a little bit more unique. The craft beer selection is something to make you come back along with the friendly service and tasty food! Definitely recommend this bar!

Review Source:I just recently moved to Shelton from Delaware and I went to this place with a few friends after having a miserable time across the street at some lame fake Mexican restaurant.
I loved the atmosphere, very chill and relaxed. The bar tenders were very nice. The menu is a little small but the burger I ordered was delicious. Also, a very nice selection of craft brews on tap, but I wish there were a few more options.
I very much recommend this bar.
Ok Finally stopped in on Frday April 12, 2013. Â Unfortunately not much of a crowd at HH time, but that aside. Â Its a very nice friendly bar, you can tell right from the start that its a nice place to hang out and relax. Â Parking..well there really is none, you will need to park on the street. Â Aside fromk beers, drinks are good, we had martinis and vodka mixed drinks and they were good...small but good. Â As far as food we decided to try the belgium fries, and I am not sure why so many people rate them as amazing. Â They are soggy, soggy, soggy they are served in a big metal bowl which is the worse way to serve them to retain crispiness. Â The dips are good but their just dips. Â I would not get them again.nor would I tell people to go there for them. Â I was really dissappointed, I dont think people know what a trully great fry is. Â The person next to me had the tacos, they looked good, again very small from what i saw but looked good. Â So overall don't think I would go here for the food, its a very small menu anyway....I would stop here if your a beer lover for sure..and I would stop here if your in the area and just want to relax and have a cocktail.

Â Bar 140 contains a bar area and small dining area and outdoor patio and serves delicious pub-style fare and has an small, but excellent selection of craft beer options. Â We had the burger and the chili and both tasted homemade and were extremely flavorful. Â The star of the show, however, were the hand cut frites and the wide array of dipping sauces they come with. Â These were so delicious that my only complaint was that I wish the bowl was bigger. Â Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I would highly recommend you check this out!
Review Source:This is a great bar in downtown Shelton simply because it is something different. It has a very laid back vibe and it definitely is hipster-like (with it's clientele and music). I'm often in NY in the Williamsburg/Brooklyn area and often say that Bar 140 can be dropped into Williamsburg and it would fit right in. Great selection of beers on tap as well as bottled beers and a nice selection of wines featured every week on their chalk board. Awesome Belgium fries and dipping sauces (I'm a fan of the curry and aioli)! Their other food is pretty good too- sliders, burgers, etc. In the winter they are offering really good spiked cider. Bar 140 is simply a great place to go when you are looking for something other than a sports bar in Shelton. Definitely recommend it.
Review Source:Fantastic bar-great food. The food menu is well picked and tasty. Delicious tacos and a great burger. Tons of interesting beer and well picked wine. Owners and staff are extremely nice and friendly. Nice courtyard and cozy inside. Weekend nights are crowded but staff manages well. Great place for afternoon drinks as well.

seriously though, go here. the salad i had tonight was amazing, and the burger my boyfriend had tonight real good, (though i only had a nibble). great selection of beer, cold and great from the tap.

This is a cozy little bar with great craft beers! Â
If you are watching what you eat, this may not be the place for you. Â They specialize in steamed burgers (sounds weird but it good) on texas toast, loaded hot dogs, fries, and other "elevated" style bar food. Â I give them 4/5 stars because I wish they had more selection in their menu. Â
They have a nice patio which is cool in the summer. Â Once a friend and I struck up a game of battleship (yes - the 80's game of strategery!) with some new people we met.
A fun place! Â Generally a good crowd in there, not a bunch of d-bags, although they slip through the cracks sometimes :)
Best bar in Shelton, hands down. The owners and bartenders are fabulous, super friendly and legitimately like to interact with their customers. The food is phenomenal, definitely not what you would expect for a bar. Their tacos, burgers, Belgian frites are all excellent. Besides, how many bars do you know of that has Jenga?
