This place confuses me and here's why: when its dead, the food comes out absolutely horrible, burnt, and no flavor. The waitresses and bartenders can care less about you and the service. However, when the place is packed and wall to wall people, the food comes out amazing and you have the best service. Weird? Uh yea. Not only that but sometimes they dont even have everything on the menu stocked.

When they have a band playing it is so loud that you want ear plugs. I'm in my 20s and feel like I'm in my 80s saying this but it's true! It sucks to have to shout to the person right next to you.

$1 burgers on tuesdays are good except if you want anything added on you have to pay extra but still, it's a good burger. The spinach artichoke dip is another great pick, as well as the hummus.

It's a good spot to go with a group of people to grab something to eat in a reasonable price range as compared to some of the other restaurants with bars.

update:  ok, I have since tried this Bar Louie location at Mohegan Sun at least 7 times. I absolutely hate writing negative reviews unless they deserve it. It's a shame more restaurants don't pay attention to social media or sites like Yelp so they can IMPROVE their service.

I've ordered the fried Louie burger 3 different times. I like my burgers medium rare, but twice my burger came out well done and once it was RAW. But, I hate sending food back unless I find a hair. Twice my fries were cold.

I tried their loaded fries. The fries are not fresh cut. NO where on the menu does it say the loaded fries come with diced hot peppers. Mine were loaded with hot peppers and not scallions like the menu said. Is there anyone in the kitchen inspecting the food before it leaves the kitchen? Do they care??

One time we sat at a table and waited 30 MINUTES for a server to come by with a menu. It was on a weekend but after 10 so there were plenty of empty tables. NO one even came by with a menu or asked if we wanted drinks. We left and went to Johnny Rockets instead.

Last night we ordered a few appetizers. The bacon cheeseburger sliders were decent, but there were NO onion straws on them like the menu stated. Again, does anyone in the kitchen know the menu or check the food leaving the kitchen? The buns were almost double the size of the burgers too.
We also ordered the adobe shrimp skewers. The menu said they came with avocado-mango salsa. There was NO avocado anywhere on the plate. There were 4 cubes of mango and a spoonful of diced tomatoes...does that equate to avocado-mango salsa? I think not. The shrimp were very small and stone cold, but I'm not sure if they were suppose to be served hot or cold since they were on top of a salad. Lastly, we ordered the pot stickers. WHAT were they thinking!?? They came out deep fried!! The menu clearly says, "pan-seared". I eat pot stickers a lot when I go out and make them at home. They are NOT suppose to be deep fried. Wow...what a poor experience. Three plates at the same table on the same night and nothing was what it was suppose to be. One the plus side, the server last night was very nice.

Attentive bartenders and slightly above average drink prices.  Bands are typically loud and annoying.

I have gone to this restaurant/bar a few times, and each time was nothing spectacular.

This last experience, a Tuesday, had been my worst experience by far! Apparently they have "$1.00" burgers on Tuesday which really brings the people in. The deal isn't really that good since any topping you would like costs an extra $1.00 each (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese etc.). Since the burger special attracted such a crowd I was told we would have at least a 1/2hr wait, which was fine. The restaurant is located in a casino, so we decided to go gamble for a little bit until our table was ready. The second we got onto the floor and chose a machine (about 5min later) our buzzer went off! We returned to the hostess and gave her the buzzer only for her to tell us we weren't selected yet. Me and my friend just decided to wait in the chairs in the front of the place instead of trying to gamble again. About another 5min went by and a different hostess approached us asking what our pager number was. We told her the number and she said we were called 5min ago and were about to get skipped!

Once we were finally seated, I ordered baked Mac and cheese with broccoli. I was very disappointed that the cheese sauce was watery and had no flavor and the broccoli pieces were massive and raw. My friend got a chicken sandwich that she enjoyed. When it was times for the bill, our waitress left the black check book on the table. WhenmI went to look at the bill, the check holder was empty! It took our waitress 15min to come around again to tell her and another 10min to bring the ACTUAL bill!

The good points of the night included the happy hr that consisted of a $5 martini and $3 draft beers. We also got the loaded tots as an appetizer and they were worth the chaos!

My husband and I ate here before he settled in for a game of poker.  We really enjoyed the food.  Our waiter was fast and efficient.  The food was really delicious.  We'd definitely eat here again.

Fantastic service, cant say enough about how well we were treated, food was all good (everyone in myparty was happy with their order) but nothing was incredible.

Voodoo chicken, and chicken pot pie soup were the hits at the table, there doesnt seem to be much bad about this place. Seems safe bet all around.

$1 burger Tuesdays! That's the reason I head to Bar Louie... the thing is, you get just that... a hamburger with nothing on it. I always end up adding this and that to my burger, getting a few drinks, and for some reason $1 burger Tuesdays always ends up being about $35 on my tab. Not to say that the deal isn't awesome though.

The burger is decent, they're only offered at happy hour though, which starts at 5. The first time we were there at 4 and ended up having drinks for an hour before our server was able to put in the order. Then when she finally did it took another hour for the burgers to arrive. I guess that was kind of sad since we got our burgers an hour late when we were an hour early for them.

Anyway, definitely a fun place to go for happy hour, it gets packed!

Who said chains can't make an excellent egg sandwich? After a morning of gambling my parents and I decided to eat at Bar Louie. The egg was perfectly cooked and everything about that sandwich made me smile.

What better to pair with the world's best egg sandwich then the world's best beer,Guinness.

I never thought that a casino restaurant could be as good as Bar Louie but I was wrong

Went with a group and the service was horrible.  Well over an hour before we got our food, and we got attitude from the waitress.  My food was a bit salty, and the girl across from me ordered her burger rare and got well done, but other than that the food quality was pretty good.  Definately more expensive than what I would expect at a casino

A good place to have lunch - I've never been there for dinner.  The menu is extensive and the service is usually pretty good.  Nothing fancy to be had here, but they do a very good job with what's on the menu.

This is simply a review of the restaurant portion of Bar Louie @ Mohegan Sun.  We were passing through the Wilkes-Barre are on a road trip and there are seemingly not many dining options (at least on Yelp).  We had two children in tow so we weren't looking to do anything crazy like Sushi.

We stopped in on a Sat. afternoon and the place was pretty much deserted.  There were maybe 4 tables of diners if that many.  The waitress was pretty slow to come and help us and had absolutely no personality.

We ordered the Salsa with 3 dips for appetizer, this consisted of a bowl of queso (yum), bowl of salsa (yuck) and a bowl of guac.  This place will have a small place in my heart because I tried guacamole for the first time and I liked it;-)  The down side of the app is that it came with like 10 chips on the plate.  We basically cleared the queso and didn't have any chips left to enjoy most of the guac and nearly all of the salsa (which tasted like crap anyway).

I ordered some sort of BBQ burger medium well.  It was cooked spot on, but came with pickles, LT and other crap that was not listed in the menu.  The burger was good but that's about it.  DW ordered a California club, she liked her sandwich but wanted me to point out that it came without the avocado which was listed on the menu.  Kids has cheeseburger sliders which they liked and Noodles with butter which were basically macaroni elbows sitting in a couple of sticks of butter in a bowl, they tasted nasty too.

I have to agree with reviewer Frank R.  the fries were just straight out nasty.  Both mine and DW meal came with them and I don't even know how to explain them.  First of all they tasted like they were deep fried in dirty oil and they just lacked any taste or character what so ever.  Any Fast food joint you can think of produces better fries than this.

All in all the food was edible but just barely.  It's possible that this place is used to serving people who are tanked after a long day of gambling, but they seemingly need to step up their game.

I went here for dinner on Saturday 7-Nov-2009. I was very disappointed in how poorly the food was made.

I ordered the California club and my friend had the Vesuvio. The club was inundated in mayo and made the sandwich fillings slide out every time i took a bite. The chicken on the sandwich was a bit over done and didn't separate easily on each bit. I had to reconstruct the sandwich after each bite. The Vesuvio was rather bland and boring. The worst part was the fries. There is no excuse for cold soggy fries EVER. Fries should be the one part of any menu that is consistently good considering how little effort needs to be put into it especially because they are premade. It was a small aspect of the meal that really showed how little the kitchen staff cares about sending out good food.

I loved Bar Louie. Maybe it's because the area lacks more places like this. Anyway, service was pretty good -- sometimes a little slow, but it was a Friday night. The food was great, and the prices weren't obnoxious. Overall, I'd say the atmosphere was the best part of this place. Can't wait to go back!

The venerable Bar Louie makes it's way to Northeast PA, nicely situated inside of the Mohegan Sun casino. The bar is well laid out, dark cherry woods everywhere and very inviting.

For a chain, and it is, they do a few things very well. I'm a big fan of their ahi tuna, which just melts in your mouth. It could go for a tad less breading and it would be truly stellar. Their drinks are solid and nothing tastes weak.

Being in a casino, this location has a stage for bands to play;  this adds to the overall ambiance in a great way.
