We stopped by The Beach House while visiting the boardwalk for a couple drinks and an appetizer or two to hold us over until dinner. We were very disappointed with the service (or lack of) as we were not even given plates or utensils for our appetizers that we were sharing. But we soon realized why when we received our shocking bill and they had added an 18% gratuity even though the menu said there was a 15% gratuity added. Plus they would not accept our coupon because it was only good when you ordered 1 of 5 items on the menu. Basically the servers did not work to earn there money, it was guaranteed. They sat around talking the whole time and not serving there customers! We were so disappointed with the small, overpriced drinks, processed, frozen overpriced appetizers and the horrible service that we just went back to our condo and skipped dinner after receiving the $150 bill. Don't waste your money here. They could care less about your return business or there customers at all. There are so many other great places. Steer clear of this place!

Decent food, this is primarily a bar that serves bar food i.e fried food.
The oyster po' boy was good though.

went there at night 2 sundays ago.  Overall, the attitude and demeanor of the waitstaff and bartenders was offputting.   The 2 waitresses working the outside upper deck were well oiled (shitfaced) and appeared to have been drinking all day.  I saw one of the waitresses do several shots of whiskey with a table of guys at the right end and the other waitress was doing shots also with a group of guys seated at the left end of the upper deck.  then, the bartender came outside and did a shot with the table also!   Might I mention the service towards everyone else  was terrible since they were hanging all over the guys at those tables.
The mixed drinks come in a very small plastic cup not much larger than a mouthwash cup and also very expensive.  The fishbowl I ordered that supposedly had several vodkas/liqueurs inside was all mix as well as the 2 mixed drinks I ordered prior.  I was 100 percent sober after finishing all my drinks.  Also, it appears that the gratituity was included in price but they don't tell you this so I was tipping a buck every drink on top of that all along!
The dancefloor inside and the majority of the clientele of the entire bar were cougar women and ol' alkie, has-been, barflies.  typical beach bar clientele.
(However, ironically, the outside deck was great, right on the strip.  the inside of the place was clean, bathroom clean, ac working great, dj was good.)

Beer was good. Food was forgettable. Great setting, especially the outdoor seating. So, come for the view and the brew. Go elsewhere for dinner.

I love this place. I came in the middle of March. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The service was fast and friendly. The food was so good. I came there twice during my trip to Myrtle Beach. The first night, I ordered the chicken kabobs and the second night I had the crab legs. Both portion were huge and delicious. Oh, they had a DJ mixing up old and new music you can surely sing and dance to. What a great little place. I'm glad I discovered it!

Great drinks. Food was pretty good, with lots of seafood options. Went on a crowded Friday night and they actually had a table available. Staff was friendly and casual.

I came out to Myrtle Beach with my sister to visit my buddy Jay and his missus Sarah, who were staying up there.  We went to Piggly Wiggly to stock up, we went to the water, enjoyed some fine beverages on the beach in a very safe a legal manner, I got shouted at by a lifeguard for swimming out too far, and then I created a run-on sentence and we went for a stroll.
Julia has never had a raw oyster so we sought to rectify that.  We walked by Beach House, liked the vibe, and went in. Or we went to the patio, so not really "in".  I'd never had or heard of a Yuengling, and everyone was shocked, but that must be an east coast thing.  It was all so so nice.  All we ordered was a tray of raw oysters and drinks so maybe this review's not even warranted, but I had a good time.  The oysters were good, the drinks were good, out waitress was nice, the drinks were cheap, and everything was served fast. So, recommended.

And buy Yuengling! It's not available in New Mexico but it's very OK!

I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach for a full seven days and I enjoyed The Beach House and made it my second home. They have a DJ after 9pm and he's GREAT! He knows how to get people out of their chair. People were dancing that I'm going to assume never dance, because it looked like they were doing Jazzercise on the dance floor, but whatever they were having a good time thanks to the good DJ. The drink specials were so good that I felt like they were giving them away. Three dollar vodka tonics everyday at a tourist spot and it's not a dive bar, come on you can't beat that!

The decor is nothing to write home about, but it's decent for a tourist bar. The bathrooms were clean the food was decent. The bartenders were friendly. The bouncers were quick to remove a patron from the bar that looked too intoxicated to be there, but they weren't interested in getting involved with a man that looked like Donkey Kong that was grabbing a woman and dragging her out of the bar by her arm against her will. Hmmm that was a pretty strange incident.

Do not eat here. The food is average, the service sucks, and it is over priced. The waitress was incredibly rude after she messed up our checks and we were just trying to have them fixed and she made some offensive comments to us. The food took incredibly long to come out and they messed up a simple cheeseburger order. The one star is only because their fries are pretty good.

There are way better places in the area so avoid this place and go somewhere better.

The bar is charging $5.00 for a draft light beer.  I was told the "tip was included".  So every beer you drink you will be tipping.  I never in my life heard of a bar forcing you to tip on every beer.  I talked to the manager "Terry".  He told me he has to do it because come people dont tip.  I talked to some locals and they said they never have to pay that.  I think this is a bike week thing. I dont think I am the only one that thinks this policy is outrageous.  The locals I talked to who were regulars at this bar said they would not have paid and would not ever come back.  I was told by other bartenders that this sounds very odd.  I'm glad I dont drink much anymore.  What a hassle.

After taking a ride on the Myrtle Beach Sky Wheel (it's just down the street), we wandered up here for dinner.

The food was good and the prices were more than reasonable. My dad and I shared the banging shrimp that was served with a flavorful mayo concoction. The other half of our group who occupied the booth had found a coupon in one of those monster books for a free order of nachos. They were expecting a small plate of them but much to everyone's surprise, they brought out a huge plate of the nachos - so if you find that coupon, it's definitely worth using!

For dinner I had the bacon-wrapped scallops which did not disappoint. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dishes so I'd say it's a pretty decent spot to hit up when you're in this area of Myrtle Beach. Their drinks menu is quite extensive - fruity martinis, cocktails, blended drinks and even ones that come in fishbowls.

The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists (probably more emphasis on the tourists) but if I were a local, I'd hang out here.

Great place to pull up a bar stool on the patio and watch the crowd strolling by.  The beer was cold, the service was great (seriously...surprising actually) and food was pretty good.  The nachos weren't anything to really write home about but my friend had a burger that he said was really good.  The fries were really good as well, good flavor and perfectly cooked.  Just a good hangout spot just off the beach.

Great place to go and watch the football or basketball games at. Stays extremely busy during the Summer months. The food is pretty good and you can get pbr buckets for $10. Not that great of a deal but it's not bad being located right by the beach.

It was my last night out on the town and it should be noted that this was not where my night began... =) So by the time we got here we were not looking at prices I suppose that is how we got an appetizer chicken fingers and one mixed drink for 23 dollars (tip included). As others have said the tips are included on everything though they are not ripping you off with them it still annoys me! The chicken was ok, nothing to write home about. The drink we got was called motion of the ocean and it was small and over priced at about 8 dollars. I can't be sure there was very much booze in it though given the fact that I was already feeling good when I got there I wouldn't have been the best judge.  It was nice to stop in and watch  some college football before we made our way down the beach looking for the next bar.

Food was very good for a sandwhich joint. The mixed drinks were very tasty but very pricey for a beach front restaurant. Like the other reviews say it is fun to just sit there and people watch. However, our waitress was horrible and just didn't seem to care. I'm not sure if this was because the 15% gratuity is already added for any number of people in a party or if she was just lazy. This would be my #1 hangout in Myrtle Beach if it wasn't for the lack of service and drink prices.

No draft beer.  Mojito served in wrong type of glass.  Rednecks, youth and locals would not know difference.  Propagating the downfall of civilized society. At least they were not playing country music.

A place to get a drink and people watch.   People watching in Myrtle Beach is great. At 250lbs I feel thin here.
We didn't have food just drinks and snacks. The piña colada were some of the best we have ever had.

The food here was decent, and the banging shrimp was actually pretty banging albeit small.  They have two full pages on their menu devoted to fruity blended drinks and also an extensive martini menu.  Their front patio was nice and they even had televisions outside so that we could watch the evening sporting events al fresco.  There's also seating that faces the street so you can watch everybody go by, so is perfect for people watching.  However, it sucks when you have to walk by this place later, because then everyone is watching you.

The folks that come here are definitely a flavorful bunch.  As two Asian tourists, my friend and I just added to the mix.  There were douchey college kids, douchey Marines (ie: two of them stuck their tongues down the neck of my beer bottle as a pick-up technique), drugged out strippers, local creepy men, and everyone in between even Canadian golfers.  It's definitely an entertaining spot to meet lots of interesting characters.
