Beaver Street's and the Lumberyard's cheap little sister.

"Brews" has the local craft beers from Beaver and Lumberyard served in a much more gritty "for locals" type atmosphere; in a real bar.

You can order food off of Beaver Street's menu and relax in a less touristy atmosphere.

Sunday night after 10:00pm there are precious few options for a bite after work in Flagstaff... otherwise we may never have wound up here and that would have been sad! This is my kind of place. It is the divey sister establishment to the Lumberyard Brewing Company... and I mean that as a compliment! They serve all the same fine beer, in a real bar atmosphere... add pool tables and a jukebox... great bar food menu... appetite satisfied! Shout out to our server Jackie who was manning the bar and tables by herself and doing it well!

This hidden little gem is located right between Beaver Street Brewery and Biff's Bagels. My parents, my fiance, and I all seated ourselves in the quiet little lounge area with the sofas when we visited on a Friday night and felt very comfortable and relaxed with the atmosphere. The bar area itself can be pretty loud, but the quiet area is definitely great if you're looking for something a bit more intimate.

Great time here. I had a delicious India Pale Ale. The counter lady at my motel said this was the only place in town for a good beer. I called ahead to make sure they had an IPA. I guess they are also famous for their Red Ale. REALLLY good IPA, they also sell bombers to go. My bartender was a lady named Cleary and she knew the answer to everything I asked about the beer. She new the malts, the hops, everthing by heart. And the dude, sorry I forgot your name was also really cool. So thanks for giving this out of towner an awesome source for amazing beer. I hit it on Instagram too!

Went here for dinner one night with the girlfriend great atmosphere for a casual dinner. I got the IPA that was on tap and it was delicious, gf got the raspberry ale not my cup of tea but she loved it! I ordered the enchanted pizza and it had a great taste to it. Gf ordered the ravioli with spinach. I enjoyed her meal as it was big enough to feed both of us.

Overall great service good food and drinks. Would definetly  come here again!

Not great food, just ok food, that's not a good value in my opinion. 2 shrimp tacos for $11 and the side is tortilla chips? Cobbler for dessert was undercooked. Getting kind of too touristy I think. Server was nice though.

Run, don't walk to get the personal size BBQ pizza. Must eat in one sitting. I just wish I could drink beer, but I can't anymore. If you do, pair this one with the "Brambleberry ale. We got the Pretzels as an app so make sure to get the maranara and the beer mustard with it... anything else would cause a call to the lunacy commission. Decent service and nicely stocked bar with lots of specials on saturdays. Pool Pizza Beer.

I am a huge fan of Beaver Street in general whether it is the restaurant side of the Brews and Cues side. However, I frequent the Brews and Cues side more often. I really love this place. My wife and I visit the in-laws at least once a month and each trip involves a visit here and I never want to leave. Its a great place to come during the day to have a few great micro-brews (Big Rapid Red is my favorite), play some pool, and listen to some good tunes on the jukebox. We usually go from between 12 and 3 and its low-key which means we always have access to a pool table (hourly rates) and full control of the the jukebox. The clientele is always made up of super laid back people like you encounter anywhere in Flagstaff. The best part is that their imperial pints (20 oz.) are only $3.50! Although I have never experienced this I know they also have a Wii on a big screen tv that you can play as well as many board games. Overall, just a cool place to hang out for the afternoon. I have never been there at night so I can't speak on that.

Somebody please tell me how a hellhole like Scott's Chicago Pizza gets rated above Beaver Street? There's no freaking comparison. Beaver Street is a quality, time- honored landmark among eating establishments in Flagstaff. The other place . . . Um, not so much. Soon to be gone. Buh bye bad pizza place.

Even though I'm going to mostly talk about the food here, the four stars is mainly for the Brews and Cues area and not the restaurant. I don't know, not really feeling the restaurant area. The Brews and Cues area is lively, fun, and still has the full menu of the restaurant next door. I enjoy sitting at the bar for a drink or two...or three, play some trivia, and sample some of their dishes with my girlfriend. Here are some of our personal favorites from the menu:

-Pesto/Cream: Basil pesto served over bubbling hot cream cheese
-Pepperoni Pizzaz Pizza: thin crust, I think the names says the rest
-AZ Quesadilla: lots of stuff inside; steak, chicken, salmon, or black bean too!
-Soft Pretzels: lots o' dipping sauces to choose from

I wanna try more stuff, but those are my go-to dishes.

Oh yeah, lots of home brews to choose from too.  Not in the mood for beer? They have a full bar and specials for $2.99.

we started our NYE night here. friendly people and good bar tenders! just an average little place that was the perfect mid stop as we made our way into the block party.

they had a really good drink special, too!

(their bathrooms were really stinky though. and not in the someone-probably-recently- took-a-shadooby way...but in the someone-probably -urinated -somewhere -hidden-so- it -never- got- cleaned- up way...)

Chill atmosphere and brews.  The food is average, but will hit the spot when the need arises.

    Great beer.
    Great vibe.
    Great drinks.
Okay bar food. Pizza was good.
We came in late after driving from the Grand Canyon so they only had the night menu which was pretty limited, but did the job.

My favorite brewery in town and the food is great too.  Brew and cues will do happy hour whereas the restaurant Beaver street does not.  Imperial pints for 3.50.  Has the same menu has the restaurant.   If you are going with a family you will need to go next door since they do not allow anyone under 21.

$3/hr for a billiard table during the week, $1/hr for the wii on the big screen - w00t!
Same beer selection as the lumberyard and beaver street.
The vibe is a little more college student than uptown billiard on the other side of the tracks.

If you want happy hour prices they show you the seedy backroom of cues and brews.  Their website clearly advertises happy hour but it does not exist at the Beaver Street Brewery location.  Shame on them!

I absolutely love this place. The bartenders are usually really nice and helpful and their drinks... forget about it!

They make their drinks so well here and have the best happy hours. They make great long islands that are strong but soo tastey!

My favorite day is Tuesday because they have their imperial pints for $3. What a steal! Their oatmeal stout is my absolute favorite and probably my favorite stout of any.

They're food is pretty good, especially if you have a nice buzz going. I recommend their shrimp tacos, crunchy, spicy, and served with a delicious slaw.

I can't wait to go back!

The beer here is really good, particulary the seasonal pale ale that I had on my last visit. I've not had much luck with the food however.

Personally, I would update this place, but since the owners opened up the Lumberyard Brewery just blocks away, maybe they're trying to keep the family theme here. I dunno.

I've only been here in the middle of the day so I can't speak for the evening crowd but it's not a bad place for some good brew in the middle of the day. But eat somewhere else before or after. I recommend sitting in the bar area right up against the glass so you can do a little people watching. It can be quite entertaining.

We stopped by this place on a Sunday Presidents Day weekend. This place was one of the few bars still open and the only one still serving food after 11pm. The atmosphere was pretty laid back, mostly locals. They sell good brews by the pitcher at a reasonable price. The pizzas were tasty and not too heavy. They have a ton of board games in addition to the pool tables. The service was good.

    Beware: The bathrooms are gross.

I always stop in Beaver Street Brewery when I'm in or passing through Flagstaff, but the restaurant is usually pretty busy.
You can come here instead, it's connected, and order the same food and same beers without the wait.
It's much quieter during lunch/dinner time rush and you can enjoy a ball game on tv or play some pool

Brews and Cues is a fun way to spend a Friday or Saturday night.  They offer pool, board games, and jukebox music.  Plus, their drinks have been consistently good and their late-night menu has above average bar food - the bread sticks are my favorite!  It is a nice place to relax, have fun, and catch up with your friends.

Beer sampler is awesome; 6 3 oz tasters for $5.

The oatmeal stout and bramble berry ale were great!

    Three sausage pizza was delicious!

    Service wasn't great.

These guys are pretty good.  Service is not too slow, but not really fast either.  Not mean or grumpy.  Food is never contaminated; beer is not flat.  I like to get the hummus, even though I'm probably not spelling it right.

What a bust. We came for the stout, which they were out of, but settled on a bock and their IPA. Both sort of meh. Our server brought us our beer, took our order, and proceeded to ignore us for the remainder of our time there. Another server dropped off our food--I had the Enchanted Forest Pizza, fiancee had a burger. The pizza really lacked flavor. This could have been easily resolved if anyone had come back to the table to check on the food. I waited ten minutes (I was STARVING) before going up to the bar to  request some marinara sauce, which made the pizza tolerable. We had also asked for some water, which never arrived, and never had the opportunity to order more beer, because, again, no one ever came back to our table. It's one thing when the bar is busy, but it was a far cry from packed. This place definitely does not live up to the hype. The bartenders were much friendlier at the Flagstaff Brewing Company, and the beer was tastier.

After wandering the streets and bars of downtown Flagstaff, we returned to where the evening started to "have one for the road" which is acceptable if you're cabbin' it. And this turned out to be the place to be! Locals emptied the student union to meet here it would seem, which made for a fun night of meeting new faces and watching some well dressed co-eds get smashed. The red felt pool tables were well maintained and the juke box had a few songs that just needed to be played, along with a bottle of Grand Marnier that needed to be opened after it was found behind the bar and dusted off. Great beers on tap and a cute waitress make me want to return soon.
