This place has the best wings in Chico.  I really enjoyed the sundevil, tiger, and peanut thai flavors of their wings.  Shared these three orders of wings with two of my drinking partners.  Man, they were good with a nice cold beer.  They weren't the skinny wings that a lot of places served either, full size wings.

I also ordered what I think was called the garbage burger.  Had a cooked egg on top of everything.  I was eating like a king.  With all the wings and the huge burger, I ended up eating only a quarter of my fries.  A great lunch spot.

The only thing that makes this a 4 star rating is that the server was too busy texting on her phone rather than making sure orders were taken and beers glasses never empty.

What a shit hole of a bar!
Came here with a buddy of mine to watch the Sharks game. The entire place smelled like piss and there were a lot of people there watching football. They had one TV on the SJ Sharks, the rest were on football.
The beers were on "special" that day (Sunday), and ranged from $3.00 to $6.75 a bottle! I asked the bartender how much a beer is, and she says, "Anywhere from $3.00 to $6.75" without specifying which ones are $3, $4, $5, $6, or $7....so I'm supposed to guess how much each beer is or feel uncomfortable ordering one and hoping its not a $7 beer?
Anywho,  I looked at the beer list and then stood there while the bartender chick skipped over me with three people - I was there before these three people, but apparently because I was confused about their pricing scheme, I deserve to be skipped over.
Needless to say, my buddies and I left that piss smelling place and went down the street to the MBG and paid $2.00 for a pint of Old Chico. And guess what, we ended up buying two more, and then a pitcher....so they got all of our hard earned money.
This is about the third time I walked into Bellas and within 15 minutes walked back out. Considering how many times I've stepped foot into this place, its a shame I've never spent a single dollar there...and probably never will.

THIS IS NOT A SPORTS BAR !!  REPEAT. NOT A SPORTS BAR!!  But if dbag frat boys are what your looking for this is your place. My husband and I are new to the area and wanted to go out.We went to this place last night to watch a football playoff game and they turned the sound off. The manager said he would turn it back on. Then talked to the bartender and then left. I never saw him again. Some guys started telling us they spent " hellla" money on the juke box and tried to start a physical altercation with me and my husband. Then started yelling at us about how they were friends with the owner. Even though these boys were yelling at us the manager was nowhere to be seen. This place treats new people like crap. I would strongly suggest " Joes " or " The Down-low" where we ended up spending our money instead.

Bella's Sports Pub is a little jewel of a pub in downtown Chico.  The food here is good, drink specials are excellent - I like the 1 dollar PBR's on select nights. The staff is also friendly and professional, no attitude, they appreciate your business. Many Chico bars are crowded so often the staff is jaded, they just throw drinks at you. At Bella's they try to learn your name, and the next time you come in they remember it, and your drink. That's really neat. Only downside to Bella's is it's a little small, but that's really a plus in many ways, it never get's too crowded. Actually, I like a crowded bar, Bella's does get crowded, but it's never an impersonal mob scene like other Chico bars. Bella's is one of Chico's best bars, no question, I'm sold on it.

Inferno challenge all day all night except Wednesday. Worth $15 anytime. AMAZING TASTE
HAVE TO UPDATE MY REVIEW. Sorry guys but until you get a better bartender with less attitude and actually post my picture to the wall for completing my inferno challenge I will not be coming back. I was told "You couldn't have done the challenge because everyone who has completed it is on the wall." My response, so I have the shirt and all pictures and videos from my friends encouraging me but you don't believe me.?????? add my picture please. I will even print off a copy of one of my own for it

Great little bar to go to and watch a game.  They have HD tv's everywhere so no matter where you are sitting you can watch the game.  The bartender and bar backs are awesome and usually bring your drinks out to you.  They have a wing challege that I have heard is pretty spicy.  If you beat it you get a shirt or something like that.

They could use some more seating but if you show up a couple minutes early you can usually catch a spot.  It is pretty low key compared to some of the other bars in Chico which is usually a good thing for me.

If i am in the mood for taco's ...i go to bellas! Seriously!
I wish thier music didn't take up the entire bar, however, sometime i just want to go eat my food drink my beer and watch a game WITHOUT MUSIC. Either leave the music or turn on the TV. It's a SPORTS bar for crying out loud!!!
    Either way, grab the tacos!

Bella's is "famous" for it's wings, and lemme say....it's for a good reason.

Hands down best wings I've ever had....ever,ever, everrr. 12 wings for $12? And the best I've ever had? Yes, yes, yes.

I find this to be one of the best bars in downtown Chico to just order a good beer and hang out with your friends and watch a game or whatever else may be on the tv's. The bartenders are all super nice and will often hook you up. The last time I was in there they kept the kitchen open for us which was super nice. As far as I know I have never seen anyone disappointed with their food choice.

I had a free Soccer Mom shot on my birthday, and it was the last thing I remember. Realllllly good stuff.

Definitely a place I'll keep in my downtown bar rotation :)

Small sports bar that can get really crowded during a Giants game. The food is a little pricey considering the stinky, dirty bar atmosphere, but its pretty good. The salads are bomb, and the hawaiian burger is my favorite in Chico.

Uber cheap libations -- especially the spicy, STRONG bloodys. Seriously. I had 2 and I was slizzered. Follow them up with a basket of hot, tasty tots -- gitty up!

Very narrow joint, but there's plenty of room to sit at the high top 6 seaters. Bench style as well so you can really cram the seats full.

Also, beware of Soccer Mom shots. I wont go into details, but you've been warned...

Nice sports bar, nothing special about it though. Pretty crowded on Saturday nights.

small. real small. You can hear every conversation in the bar. The sound wasn't even on for the game we were watching.

They have water next to the bar that is serve yourself, a plus.

Bar stools are torn up, and the place smells like a college dorm room. Possibly due to it's location to Chico State.

Parking isn't the greatest, but you can find a public lot and walk a ways to get there.

What comes to mind when you think Bellas? For me, it's WING WEDNESDAY!!! Thats right people, 3 wings for a buck. There are multiple flavors, each one more tasty than the next! Technically you are supposed to get a drink in order to get the wing special, but if the waitresses like you, SOMETIMES YOU GET HOOKED UP!!! Only four out of five stars because, as Mike B and Chris A said, there are too many Giants bros there all the time.

I like bella's, the specials are good they have dank wings and the vibe is cool. I liked it better before they put in those new benches around the side, the foot rests are a fucking joke theres no way a normally proportioned human can comfortably rest their feet on that shit.
all the staff is super friendly and laid back, i was kinda bummed when they got rid of the potato skins. I'm a big potato skins guy. its probably a lot cooler if your into the giants or soccer or both, its kind of a giants bro-hug-double-back-tap-when-aubrey-huff-hits-a-sac-fly bar. im not really into that shit. but other than that theres usually cheap pitchersand greasy ass bar food and they'll always come to ur table and take ur order and bring you your drinks and shit.
id give it 4 stars if they brought back the potato skins and moved the base boards out like 5 inches.

Solid sports bar. Also good for when you're looking for some decently priced pints. Staff is pretty laid back, they're cool enough and, as Chris A. said, they'll get wasted with you. Just like any other bar, it gets pretty packed on busy nights, but they're recent remodel has helped a lot.

I don't really like that it's a "giants bro-hug-double-back-tap-when-aubrey-huff-hits-a-sac-fly bar". When I'm trying to watch a baseball game I don't wanna hear a bunch of World Series-less Giants fans in Chico of all places tell ME about baseball. Just like John L., "I'm not really into that shit."

But that's not really Bella's fault (I think). They have a chill atmosphere, cheap drinks and bomb buffalo wings, what the f*ck else could you ask for??

9 times out of 10, Bella's is the opposite of what I look for in a bar.  The food is run-of-the-mill pub grub and the beer selection is pedestrian. Really, the last would be a serious problem if it weren't for the fact that this is Chico and every bar in Chico is required by local ordinance to have at least three varieties of Sierra Nevada on tap. It's not even a great sports bar. Small, and the televisions are all sort of crowded around the place so it's a tossup whether you'll be able to hear the game that you want to watch.

    That 10th time, though...

A few weeks ago, I went to the Kezar Pub in San Francisco, supposedly a local mecca for football (soccer) fans, and found all of one other person quietly watching the Man Utd/Birmingham game. Today, in a city that's a one-tenth the size of SF and a metro area about one-seventieth, Bella's had four people there waiting for the United/City League Cup game, and three of them were wearing United kits. Also unlike that poor bloke at Kezar, these four got loud when the situation called for it, and when Wayne Rooney headed in the deciding goal in stoppage time, the five of us were louder than the other 20-30 people in the bar combined.

    As it should be.

Now yes, their only British beer was canned Boddington's, or as I like to call it "that stupid yellow can of foam with some vaguely beer-like flavoring," but anything Sierra Nevada makes will do in a pinch, the fish and chips were adequate, and the waitress brought malt vinegar BEFORE she brought anything that said "Heinz" on the label.

Speaking of the waitress, she was absolutely wonderful throughout the 2+ hours I was there, even when it was getting crowded later on. I'm only basing this off of one visit, so I can't say for certain whether this is the standard level of service, but bloody good job to whatever the blonde's name was.

Who would have guessed it? A great place to go and watch footy in freakin' Chico.

Bella's is awesome, one of the best bars in Chico!

The 2 bartenders on Friday night are babes and they are always really excited to see you.

    $1 dollar PBRs on Friday

and if you catch the owner when he is there is will probably be wasted.

the only bad part about Bella's is that its a Giants bar so there are always many giants bros during games.

The decor is a dark sports pub with a few awkwardly placed TVs.  The server was extremely attractive and provided very good service (lots of drink refills).  The food was a little slow coming out, but was very good when it arrived.  Our table ordered the Nachos (massive), BLTA, Cali Chicken Sand and Italian Chicken Sand.  All of us were pleased.  The portions were huge, the food greasy (what you would expect) and they even offer tater tots as a side.  Came in not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised.

One Sunday morning decided to check out Bella's to catch an NFL team that the local tv station wasn't carrying.  I walked in around 10:30am finding myself to be the only customer in there...not the best sign for a business. It's a pretty small place for a 'sports bar' with i think 5 tvs, one being a big screen.  The guy behind the counter was friendly and asked what game I would like brought up on the tv and gave me a menu to look over.  I decided on just getting some chips and salsa to start with for the 1st half, he passed the order to the guy in the kitchen...sorry we're out of salsa.  How about some chili fries.  They were nothing special, about what I expected probably just opened up a can of chili and warmed it up on some frozen french fries. But it's sports bar food.  Sorry to say I don't see myself going back.

I used to visit this place, and I used to work here. The bartenders are great, the food is greasy, the drink flows freely and cheaply (1.25 for a can of PBR! I love it!) and sometimes they even have soccer on TV. Awesome place to come and chill with the dudes and have a garbage burger to impress your friends. Also a great place to come with a girl if you want to impress your friends, as there aren't usually many in Bella's.

I'll also throw in a vote for Brett as the drunkest dude ever.
