Great food, great beer selection. Glen, the owner, makes you feel at home.  Worth a stop!!  Now in Winn Dixie plaza near ihop.

Agree with the comment below. it was a sad day when Bernkastels closed. Was a great atmosphere. Best wait staff possible. and amazing beer selections -- all right on the water in it's own little oasis.

Looks like Bernkastel moved to a new location! It's next to the Winn Dixie on the corner of Moore and Atlantic. I just went there for drinks, but wow, what a selection! The place is a little divey, but fun atmosphere.

Oh wow!  No kidding.. Bernkastel's Festhaus is closed huh?  I used to work at that hotel when it was the Daytona Beach Marriott and than The Adam's Mark.  I'll never forget my bf pulling up next to hotel with his friends, burping out bratwurst und fest bier, flopping out of his souped up, tricked out 5.0 liter Mustang with his Riddle classmates in tow... I'm still in my goofy banquets uniform mind you and had NOT had a chance to break open a cool one, he flops out of the car, friends laughing hysterically and asking me to drive everyone home!  Good times, stupid, silly-dangerous, foolish college times!  I agree.. RIP Bernkastel Festhaus!

I am sad to say that Bernkastels has been closed now for I believe 2 years.
It is still very sad, it was located in the bottom of the Hilton, it survived numerous hotel name chains and many hurricanes.
They had great sandwiches and potent cocktails and a mile long beer menu.
    so sad
I loved sitting outside here, it has since been turned into hotel rooms - what a waste.
    RIP Bernkastels
    You are missed
