I have one simple question for anyone reading this. The bands that are playing here are older than dirt. You can see all of them free at Clyde's in Chevy Chase and many other places, Tommy Lipsom  the Soul Cracker, Junior Cline etc. The Nighthawks are so old they are playing in a 20 seat bar Hank Dietle's on the pike. The food is par at best and the food prices are very high to say the least. Where is the blues format? Very much a let down. For the prices and food you can go to the Warner and see real talent for th same price.
Review Source:I REALLY want this place to succeed. So I hope the owners are reading these reviews and taking the suggestions to heart because I agree with most of them. We have been here twice. I love the decor and ambiance and the 2 shows were terrific including the house band on a Monday night.
The problem is the service and food. I don't think that this club is doing that right. I agree with others,....stick to simple bar food and don't try to be a fancy restaurant. Your servers are not up to it and neither is your chef. Our meals were cold and not tasty and the price tag was up there. This is a sophisticated crowd you are trying to get in there. We have MANY good restaurant options. If you want to succeed and I hope you do, you must rethink the food situation.
Went to the 6/30 show. The entertainment was great. The atmosphere is very nice. The wait staff very attentive (the crowd consisted of approximately 20) lol. Â Now to the OVERPRICED entrees!!! Â Stick to the appetizers. We ordered 1 crabcake entree that cocsisted of 2 overcooked and supposedly 4oz cakes. (NOT..... )
TWO crab cakes, about 8 greenbeans and 6 carrot strips with maybe 4 pieces of overcooked potates cost 31.95. Â The seafood chowder I ordered was basic but salty. Â My $9 dollar glass of wine was less than 5oz. Not a good experience and we will only go back for those execptional shows and then only order the appetizers. Â By the way, I tried the chicken gumbo and sent it back....awful.....
Overall a so, so experience.
